Spoke + Art is a great venue off of The Capital Trail in Williamsburg. They have a great selection of food, drinks and nutrition for cyclists, runners and walkers alike. It’s a family friendly atmosphere and on Saturdays you might catch some music in the early afternoon. We bicycle The Capital Trail and do a social afterwards here. They even have bicycle rentals if you want to go out for a leisurely ride. Highly recommended!

This is a nice little refreshing stop whether you are on two wheels or four. Our group of Lady Riders stopped for lunch while enjoying a relaxing ride down the VA Five and Dime. The place was quite busy midday Saturday. There was live entertainment, indoor and outdoor seating, and the food was delicious. We did have some trouble with one order for our group when we needed to order with a dietary restriction. Unfortunately, I never found out if they made good on the mistake. Otherwise, it’s a nice little stop.

I have ridden past Spoke and Art many times, but have always been focused on completing my workout. I made a decision on my most recent ride on the Cap Trail to finish my workout at this store/restaurant. What an experience! Great food (I had the chicken salad wrap), people, and service. Ice water and cups for cyclists and hikers. Friendly staff. Check it out!!

Very health. Conscious place to have a quick bite or sit and hang for a while. Has indoor and outdoor covered seating currently. Not sure if it is up in the summer too.

We stopped in for a drink while riding on the Capitol Trail and I told my husband THIS is what an excellent community member looks like. She was about to close but was very gracious. I loved all the community-supporting elements – the water cooler for the cross country kids and other travelers, the book exchange, seed exchange, etc.

wonderful, friendly staff and owner – amazing gathering place with open and covered decks, indoor seating and picnic/bistro tables on the lawn in front of the music stage. Delicious sandwiches, best homemade pimento cheese ever (recommended by local cyclist Jack, who called it “legendary”), great coffee, rented Specialized hybrid bikes for the 50 miles of well maintained Virginia Capital Trail, located right next to S + A at MM 2.5.

What a hidden gem! Great coffee beverages with plant-based milk options available, tasty sandwiches (the turkey and Brie with raspberry aioli was to die for!) and pastries and incredibly friendly service. They have cute souvenirs and local art, as well. Lots of space with outdoor seating available.
