Tried to go to this place while visiting New Rochelle. My wife and I were walking around and got a bag of chips to munch on. Went in to the diner and were told we couldn’t bring outside food. We were not actively eating the chips, the bag was closed and in my hand but the owner refused to seat us because of it. They did not sell chips and we told him our intent was to order full meals for each of us and the chips were only a snack while we walked around. He continued to tell us that no outside food or drinks are allowed and refused to seat us. I am giving the restaurant 2 stars based on the fact that the food looked good but never got a chance to try it. I could understand had I walked in with a McDonald’s bag and was only going to buy food for 1 person while the other ate food brought in or if I had food that could’ve reasonably been bought at the establishment. Restaurant was empty and we would’ve been the only ones eating so I was confused why they refused to serve us.

Went to Splendid for the first time with an old friend. We needed breakfast fast and Splendid did exactly that. Pictured are the OJ, Cappuccino, Phoenix Burrito and Chicken & Waffles. Everything was awesome, had fast service and very tasty food. Can’t wait to go back. Tip for parking: park in New Roc City and walk across the street. Lots of traffic causes spots not to free up right in front of the diner.

It was across from Applebee’s and the Cinema. They have quite a selection of food in their menu. It was about a 10 min walk from the hotel. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable as well. Overall, great experience.

Great little place for breakfast and lunch. I eat here usually once or twice a week when I stay in the area.
My favorite is the BLT with extra bacon and mayo and fries. The bacon is always cooked perfectly and fries are perfect. The omelets are always a good choice too.
The staff is always very friendly and extremely good about making sure my drink is fresh.
It’s not expensive either.

Was skeptical and so happy we chose this for breakfast over Applebees across the street! Edit was the sweetest, and the food was delicious, she filled up our coffee before we even asked and we ordered a banana nut muffin and they warmed it up with butter, WOW WOW WOW!
And bathroom was clean!!!!!! We got seated immediately on a Sunday @ 10AM!
