Don’t be fooled by all the pretty lights of the other restaurants. This is a hiden gem at the very end. The food here is excellent. I’m from Mexicali, and this is my to go place now as of today.
The entire staff was super nice and attentive. Food was 10/10, my table shares food so I tried a little bit of everything and nothing was less than amazing.
The lobster was perfect, the steak, shrimps, the octopus cocktail. The rice, beans and tortillas were great. Which is always the best unit to measure a restaurant if they have the basic 3 tasting great. IYKYK.
Lastly. The cocktails were amazing, I got the cucumber mojito and mango mojito. Delicious. Also, don’t pass on the margaritas because they’re great!

We had an amazing experience at Splash, and honestly, I can’t recommend it enough, especially over the more touristy, overcrowded spots like Encanto and Los Portales, which are right next door.
We actually started with the intention of eating at one of those two, but both had long waits, were packed, and just felt overpriced for what they were. After a less-than-great experience at each, we decided to give Splash a shot, and we are so glad we did!
From the moment we sat down, the service was warm and attentive. The prices were super reasonable, and every dish we ordered was fresh and flavorful. But the real surprise? The views. Absolutely stunning oceanfront setting that made our lunch feel really special. It ended up being one of the most memorable meals of our trip.
This place deserves way more attention than its flashier neighbors. We’re already looking forward to coming back next time we’re in Baja!

Welp, service was horrible. I pretty much seated myself, seem like they were under staffed. No one could decide who would seat me and my guest. Food was ehh looks nice in pictures but taste was bland. Not really worth the price tag on this place. Music at your table side was a rip off. DONT DO IT!

Great atmosphere, love the food, ambiance great, service great, you can even get splashed by the open waves if you want. Recommend go late afternoon, not as hot, and the live music hasn’t gone into full party mode yet. Wait to long, and on the weekends it gets packed. Has indoor and outdoor seating, shade covers for the tables, and all the Mexican cuisine your senses can handle. The view of the sunset on the ocean, is the icing on the cake. Feeling good at Splash again and seeing the beautifully decorated restaurant of the holiday season made my day! Good food, drinks, view, and company. Huge shout out to Jessica, our server! She was a standout this evening! Friendly, attentive, helpful, polite and spoke English. Thanks for keeping a smile on your face, Jessica ! 5 star ⭐️

This place never ceases to amaze me. From the days of its simple big green box-looking restaurant, that sits comfortably on a cliff with ocean splashing on its window panes, to its now newly built extended areas. Looking forward to what’s in store for us. Splash is a must- see. And, whether indoor our outdoor seating, there will always be room for fresh air, an ocean view, waves breaking, and breath taking sunsets. Simply amazing.
This restaurant, located on the outskirts of Rosarito, Mexico, has been my favorite place for all my seafood needs. Although not exactly a lobster fan, Splash definitely made sure friends, family and myself kept us coming back. It was a place to rave about. Before COVID “era,” $20 lobsters was the thing. Prices were reasonable and honestly, one lobster was not enough.
Last week (Tuesday), my partner and I decided to have early dinner at Splash. As always, friendly staff, good music, great outdoor view, and lots of new additional stuff was done to the restaurant since last visit this past summer. Overall, the atmosphere was on point…even without the live band playing.
Our order was placed (forgot our servers name), we received our drinks and dish in no time. Our food arrived, all looked great but for some unknown reason, my mix ceviche lacked the usual taste. Besides it being tasteless, it was served on the skimpy side and not enough shrimp. I had to squeeze more lemon and salt to add zest. I rarely like using salt, but in this case, it was much needed, unfortunately. The lobster, similar issue. Something was lacking. The garlic butter sauce was much needed but still, it did not have the usual taste. We asked the server about the cook. That maybe the cook was new. He confirmed – it’s the same cook.
The food was definitely off. Unexplainably off.
Our server, by the way, was so attentive and friendly. No complaints here. Even past servers were all good. Dining experiences at Splash were always good.
Despite our dismay with our food, we will still return to Splash. It will still be our go-to for any occasion, or, simply, just because.
