My wife and I had another delicious dinner here in mid-December. The food and service were excellent, as has always been our experience at Spirits. We started with the calamari appetizer, very flavorful with bacon confit, balsamic reduction, and garlic aioli. I had Spirits’ unique take on eggplant parmesan, with a pesto cream sauce, which beats any other version of this classic dish. My wife enjoyed the wild salmon BLT (with grilled salmon), and the side salad accompaniment she chose was fresh and abundant. The wine list includes choices in a wide range of prices, including some wines by the glass that are good yet reasonably priced. As with every other time we’ve eaten here, we left full and happy.

The building is decorated beautifully. It’s worth lingering to take a look at the art exhibited in the upstairs gallery and also displayed in the lobby and along the hallway.

We had a lovely dinner at Spirits! The ambience was nice and the staff was friendly and attentive. I had the salmon curry and my fiancé had the pot roast stew, and we shared a Caesar salad. The salad was fine, the entrees were good and the dessert (peach and berry cobbler and a Peruvian brownie) were divine! We each had a cocktail: the empress martini for me (superb!) and an old fashion for him (fantastic!).

We then went back for brunch. It was a very simple menu but everything was wonderful! We shared the French toast and the sausage biscuit sandwich, absolutely delicious! And the wait staff were so amiable and lovely.

Amazing views and so relaxing sitting outside in the garden at Spirits. Had the curry salmon, garden salads with focaccia, clam chowder, coconut shrimp and shared the berry cobbler for dessert. Everything was delicious, especially enjoyed all the fresh garden ingredients. The curry salmon was so flavorful and the coconut shrimp were huge, fresh and hand breaded. They had a unique take on clam chowder and it was really good. The berry cobbler is more of a berry cake but with all those fresh berries – yum. We liked dessert so much we came back for key lime pie the second night.

Alisha was a phenomenal server. She was attentive and funny, all while juggling the whole dining room solo!

The food comes in large portion sizes, so come hungry and leave happy!

I really wanted this place to be good but it simply was not. The staff was nice, but the food was atrocious. I could not get through more than a bite. I got the lasagna and it was inedible, my partner got the wedge salad and it was not even close to being fresh. Overall disappointing experience. It didn’t help that is was extremely overpriced.

If I could have given the food zeros I would have. Went there for Thanksgiving Dinner. They charged $75 per person for the worst buffet I’ve ever had. The hot food had clearly in sitting in chaffing dishes for hours so the meats were stewed, overcooked & awful. The hot side dishes overall were disgusting looking and weren’t even hot. The cold sides appeared to have been prepared several days ago and left outside to dry out. The rolls & muffins looked like foods the local restaurants & grocery stores rejected. And the desserts were dry & bland.

The service was good and the atmosphere better than average. The food was the problem. They had $50 buffet per person. There was a lot of food but it was mediocre at best. The French toast and fried potatoes was tough and unappetizing. For me, the prime rib was like chewing rubber bands. The pastries were bland. The best was eggplant Parmesan, salad and fruit.
