A local spot right on Caroline St. When you first walk in you immediately feel like you have walked into an Irish Pub! All the way from the authentic wood floors to an urban outside patio the warmth of a true gathering place for friends to hang out. Pool tables too compete with new and old friends! We asked for a specific drink and the bartender was more than happily to accommodate! Good pub munchies as well!!! Just be careful walking up and down the steps they can be a little tricky!!!

I would give this place four stars minimum if it weren’t for the consistently awful customer service from the owner’s daughter on weekend nights. Every time I come here, she is openly male centered, blatantly prioritizing male patrons while ignoring female customers entirely.
Just last night, I watched her serve every single person next to me, make direct eye contact with me, and then walk right past me to continue down the bar. This happened multiple times. She skipped me repeatedly until I finally gave her a death stare, and only then did she decide to serve me. My boyfriend as well informed me that she ignored him for a total of 45 minutes when he trying to cash out our tab while serving guests around us. That level of disrespect would get anyone fired with the quickness at any other bar. The only reason it’s tolerated here is because she’s the owner’s daughter.
I have also seen her give attitude to multiple paying customers. While I’ve never personally gotten into an argument with her, I’ve been more than patient and observant as someone who works in customer service myself. Being related to the owner does not give you the right to be rude, dismissive, or selective about who deserves service.
Unfortunately, the male centered behavior does not stop with her. The other bartenders also seem to prioritize the men they know, which leads to long waits and a frustrating experience if you are not part of their circle. This bar has a lot of potential, but the service, especially on weekends, completely ruins it.

Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a bar. Incredibly rude female bartender I had to endure last night, she had a bad attitude and refused me service based on nothing other than I guess she’s the dictator of the bar. She ignored me for a while, and I had to flag her

She was saying I was inebriated, but little did she know I was incredibly anxious and it took a lot of for me come in but she was so insistent on picking on me It was birthday too, but I guess there’s other places in downtown. I’ll never go there again to be treated to so poorly by this female
Bartender she definitely made my first time there one I’ll never forget for all the wrong reasons. I know everyone has their bad days but don’t take it out on your customers, that’s just poor taste. I would not recommend for a chill place to grab a drink after this bad experience here. I think the manager should know how decent people are being treated at night. Bad attitudes makes for bad business. Good luck to them.

The establishment could benefit from additional staffing at the bar, as the wait times for ordering drinks were notably long. Its size makes it less than ideal for larger gatherings, presenting a challenge for comfortable seating and movement. To improve the customer experience, particularly during peak hours, hiring more bartenders would be a sensible consideration. This would help alleviate the extended waits and enhance the overall enjoyment of the venue. We appreciate the efforts to manage the space, but adjustments in service capacity would be most welcome.

Visited 7/1/23 the Loaded fries are delicious! If you dine in, cost $5. The fried mushrooms has too much batter & taste like funnel cake. The tacos were great. I will definitely go again.

I had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at Spirits. A grown man directly made inappropriate sexual comments about my body, which made me feel unsafe and disrespected. When this was brought to the attention of staff, I did not see any consequences for the other party involved, which was extremely discouraging.
It would have been reassuring to know the situation was properly handled so that no other girls would have to go through something similar. I also wish my side of the story had been heard and that I had been given the opportunity to express my concerns.
I wish this situation was addressed in a more professional manor.

Theresa was are waitress and she bent over backwards to make sure the service was great. I ordered a steak and cheese sub with fries and they made fresh Mac n cheese for my daughter, which she loved. The food tasted good and the service was excellent. The food had generous portions. We enjoyed it thoroughly. We will go back.

This is really a hidden gem of Fredericksburg. The prices are very low for restaurants in Fredericksburg and the portions are very generous. The waitress was very attentive, even as they started to get busy. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick bite and some amazing food. The Gyro was delicious!
