If you’re in the Inland Empire and craving real Texas BBQ, Spirit of Texas in San Bernardino is worth the trip. They smoke their meats for 4 to 14 hours with white oak and you can taste it. We tried the brisket sandwich on a fresh bun with cole slaw and cornbread straight out of the oven. Everything was tender, flavorful, and the portions were generous. Their house BBQ sauce hits that sweet spot, not too sweet or salty. The server even let us sample the other meats which was a nice touch. Sides are solid too. Mac and cheese, baked beans, green beans with turkey. For dessert they have peach cobbler and banana pudding. Place is clean, parking is easy, staff is friendly. A friend who’s obsessed with BBQ recommended it and now I get why. We’ll be back.

Everything was tasty. Unfortunately, there was no cornbread available this time as it was already sold out. I’ve tried cornbread at other places, and it just doesn’t compare.
But the dishes here have a great flavor, especially the potato salad, coleslaw, and baked beans. The cornbread is the best I’ve had so far. It’s simply delicious. The brisket is amazing too; it just falls apart.
When I got to the parking lot, it was tough to find a spot because there were so many cars outside. Once I entered the restaurant, I noticed a long line to place your order.
From my experience, I’ve learned that when a place is busy, it’s a good sign that the food is excellent.
And this food is indeed delicious. You really have to try it. This is a hidden gem in San Bernardino, and if you get the chance to drive by and check it out, you won’t regret it. It might just be an unforgettable experience.

Solid BBQ. Beef Ribs has a smoke ring internally the meat so juicy tender and flavorful. Hot Link Sandwhich was legit. Had the seeds of the peppers oh yah. The spicy flavor #%ll of good. Pull pork same thing smoke ring tender and juicy with flavor. If you are in the San Bernardino area consider giving this establishment a try and share your experience with all of us.

It is worth the money spent. I’ve had the brisket, pork ribs, spicy mac & cheese, green beans w/smoked turkey, potatoes and banana pudding. All of it was delicious. They allowed me to sample the Brazilian steak (only on weekends) and the potato salad. The Brazilian steak can be a bit more tender & flavorful and the potato salad is a no. There is mustard based and mayo based imo regarding potato salad and I think theirs is mayo based. I am a fan of mustard based and like it chunky. Theirs is too mashed..not a reason to not keep going there. The meat after all is the heart of the restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go. You will enjoy. Tender and flavorful. Make sure to get your original and spicy bbq sauce, pickles, onions and jalapeños. All free and goes beautifully with the food. In the photo, I fashioned my plate that way. (I was so hungry couldn’t wait til I get home as I live in Victorville)..It’s not how it’s given . You order your meat and another staff serves the sides and then you pay. I wish I took pictures of everything but my belly was impatient second visit.

BBQ is my favorite food. I’ve been to hundreds of BBQ restaurants. Spirit of Texas and Oklahoma Kansas City Joe’s Barbeque are my two favorites. You can actually cut the rib tips with a fork. I ate the food in disbelief. It was out of this world.

I must say I was very impressed. We are very picky with bbq.
I thought the meat was all flavorful and tender. I appreciate good quality of meat. Lately I feel places charge so much for crap meat… not this place. You do pay per weight of the meat of your choice. You tell them how much you want. We spent about $80.
We had the brisket, chicken and burnt ends.
I think it was a good amount of food for the two of us.
Also a side of mac and cheese(FYI worth the calories and carbs ).
We are definitely coming back.

BBQ always hits! Generous portions and owner. Can buy meat by the pound. My friend bought 2 ribs and they gave her 1 “on the house.” Best sides are the parm potatoes and beans. You have to get the banana pudding, fired plantains and corn bread. Plenty of places to sit and good for larger groups.

My bf suggested this place because he went a long time ago. I’m not the biggest bbq fan but this place was good. We ordered brisket, brisket ends, pork belly, Mac n cheese, beans, a beer, and 2 cornbreads. The wait at 5pm was about 15 mins. Once you get to the Front ordering is easy and takes a short time if you know what you want. Free onions, pickles and jalapeños if you ask. The cornbread is not free like google says, they charged us $1. Different bbq sauces you can ask for and seating is abundant. Parking can be tough, depends when you go. When we left at 6pm on a Saturday there was no line. The only reason I have a 4/5 is because the brisket ends was a disappointment because we got a lot of fat on our serving size and some of the brisket was all fat. The cornbread is really good but probably because it’s sweet.

Good delicious food! Service was good. But let’s talk about the food … If you craving BBQ, this is a great spot. I do gotta say, bring your wallet it’s a bit on the pricey side but so very much worth it. Absolutely. We had the beef BBQ ribs. So tender and flavorful. Worth the $113 for two big ones. They huge. Like Flintstones huge.
