I grew up and lived in the area most of my life so when I moved away 7 years ago I have made a point anytime I’m within an hour’s Drive I have to come here and get the fried chicken . It is absolutely wonderful I can’t explain exactly why but it is the best and perfect every time also they have many other great items on the menu and some of the best breakfast pork chops I’ve ever had . I think the only thing that’s changed is that you used to get these wonderful little dinner rolls with your dinners and the last few times I went they did not have those I believe they’re not on the menu anymore and they were truly great and they used to give you real butter with them which was a plus . All of the dinners come with soup and salad which is so nice when everybody else is charging $4 extra . The amount of food you get is more than what any one person should eat so normally we have leftovers it’s just a great value for the price delicious food and did I say anything about the excellent service ? I have had the best service the last several times everyone in there I mean above and beyond and it was a different waitress each time but they were all excellent attentive and just couldn’t ask for better service really . I believe the gentleman that rang me up the last time is the owner or manager and he was very friendly which is also refreshing . It’s just nice to go into a place that you’ve gone to your whole life and even though everything around is crashing and burning it’s still there it’s still great and the people that are inside working it are still really friendly I’ll tell you what I don’t care if I move out of state I’ll still be coming back here any chance I get. The only negative comment I have is that a few booths need new upholstery(thus 4 stars for atmosphere.)

I came with my grandson for some breakfast today. I waited patiently to be seated. Within 10 mins I’m still waiting.(there was no one else waiting to be seated.)I seen 4 employees that would pass me and smile but not offered help. I finally decided to get up to leave. A heavy set Hispanic girl looks at me and whispered if I’ve been helped( she was the 1st employee to see me).I told I’ve been waiting for over 10 mins to be seated so I’ll gonna just leave. The waitress said okay bye! Will not be returning, All the Spires I go to , NEVER SEEN THE STAFF SO LAZY AND RUDE UNTIL COMING TO THIS LOCATION!
