nice place, we stumbled upon it this past weekend, and really loved the atmosphere. Breakfast was just fine, some unique selections, however I am now an all time fan of the waffles here! I think these are the best waffles I have had since I can remember. PERFECTLY crispy edges, yet nice and soft inside with the very best flavor. Fresh fruit to top it off too, just loved these! The staff here was inviting, quick on their feet and very kind to us. Shared about specials and even a later special to look for, ten dollar chicken. So, we are going back for that- after such a terrific breakfast I am eager to see how wonderful their other foods are. Great place!

This place seems to draw the 55 age crowd, a plus in my books. They know what they want and where to get it. I go here for breakfast with my bro in Christ for fellowship and spiritual debate. The service is great and friendly staff. I recommend their lunch menu also. Overall its a great stop from meal of the day.

Retro decor, booths, etc. Definitely feels like an old school diner and family friendly!

Upon entry, we have always been promptly greeted and seated. The hostess immediately took drink orders while we awaited are our server. There are a lot of options on the menu! Took us a while to decide and our server was quite patient with us! I did order an appetizer of zucchini sticks which were pretty hefty in size! Our food was brought out nice and hot within a very reasonable time frame for freshly made food.

The portions are generous, I couldn’t even finish my Popeye omelette. Since it was a special I also got pancakes with my meal along with my choice of potatoes. It was a lot of food! My son got the peach waffle. One waffle doesn’t sound like a lot until you realize it covers the entire plate! And they definitely didn’t skimp on his toppings!

Location is pretty easily accessed as it’s close to 405. Parking can be limited depending on the time of day you go. They do have several handicap spaces in front.

Our waitress Pamela was fantastic. She was attentive but not overly so. The food was great, they took my brother’s special request of the mushroom burger in stride. The waitress even said she was going to order the same changes as it looked and smelled so good. Will be returning again when I am back in the area.

Let me start this off by saying I was hungry this morning and decided to give a new place a chance

The food is not bad at all, but the service and the atmosphere leaves a LOT to be desired

Got seated immediately and ordered a chocolate milk and Beefeater sandwich

The sandwich was defintiely solid for what it is. Good flavor, decently tender, good amount of juice

The fries I got with it were thick, fresh and hot, crunchy texture. A solid fry

The milk tasted like it had abuelita chocolate, not complaining at all, it’s good, I love that chocolate

But that’s not where my issues with this specific location are at: the service, made me feel irritated, multiple times passed by a server or a waiter, after finishing my meal, had to wait 15-20 minutes to get my order taken away after I had finished eating. And keep in mind at this point there was only 3 or 4 tables taken in the restaurant, it was pretty slow, there’s no excuse to make eye contact with me MULTIPLE times and seeing my empty plate but you’re going to other tables before I had to legit flag someone down to have my order ran through. Even typing this is getting me more and more irritated, unacceptable if you ask me personally

The restaurant itself seems very dated like it needs a revamp or a little TLC to give it a fresh new life and feel. Cause I’m gonna be 100 with you all, while sitting down I felt a little uncomfortable or weird there just cause of how “worn out” the place felt I don’t know. I can’t put my finger on it

I would personally not go back here. I tried to give it a fair chance, and it didn’t leave me feeling very satisfied

Try it if you’d like but I wouldn’t go back

First time here at the restaurant. The service was great don’t get me wrong but on the other hand the food wasn’t to my expectation. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo pasta with chicken and it was good but wouldn’t order it again. It was not terrible, I mean the pasta and sauce tasted great but the chicken was missing some seasoning, I mixed it really good with the sauce and all but it still didn’t work for me. The plate came with garlic bread but came few minutes after I got my food and I did not like it whatsoever, too much garlic and not baked enough. Can be my personal preference but I like my garlic bread crunchy this bread was soft. My husband ordered the burger I forgot the name and he had no comment, he ate the whole thing. The restaurant was nice and clean, few people were there mostly older folks and the service was great, the waiter came every few minutes to check on us. Nice place overall, might come again for breakfast but not dinner.

Excellent service compliments of Winnie. Old school atmosphere in a traditional 1950’s diner. The decorum is reflective of that era so is the quality of food, the size, the service. A total gem stuck in time. When food was better, portions were bigger & servers were taking pride in their profession. Refilling the cup of decaf numerous times. Checking in, giving the full sit down full service experience.
I must say, most places have been lacking since the pandemic, & while other places do the bare minimum. Here the staff goes above & beyond.
A classic neighborhood American Diner the likes we mostly see in the movies nowadays.

We haven’t been to a Spire’s in years but were hungry and right down the street from it so we went. We were all surprised by how good it was. The portions were large, the service was fantastic. I’m sorry I didn’t get the ladies name she was incredibly attentive. I’ve been to “better” restaurants and not had service this good. We ordered an appetizer sampler and were impressed everything was obviously house made, which is always a good thing. Everyone enjoyed every bit of it. The rest of our food was just as yummy. All of us will be coming back. Next time I’m trying a slice of the chocolate cake it looked really good.

Breakfast this morning was better than I expected, but still could have been better. There are a few locations all around Los Angeles and I would not classify them as a diner, more as a fast service American restaurant. The best part of the meal was the pricing because it is very fair. There is plenty of seating inside, both booth and counter and parking is very easy and free because it’s attached to a shopping center.

Service was pretty quick for me although it did take quite a while for me to be able to place my food order. I was immediately seated right when I entered and they brought my drinks immediately after being seated. I did have to wait about 10 minutes to place the order, but when the food came it was better than I was expecting. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and even though the hollandaise was a bit watery in my opinion the ham on the bottom was very good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I got side of avocado and it was not the freshest avocado but I still ate it.

Overall a pretty nice experience although does not really give me the restaurant kind of feel. I would recommend it if you are in the area.

Dinner two nights in a row. Wednesday was meatloaf. The tomato gravy was excellent. Thursday was fish and chips. Three nice fillers with lots of fries. Both meals were from the $12.49 Seniors menu. Both came with a generous portion of salad (soup is an option) and a small dessert. I had rainbow sherbet. Wish I had come sooner. Will be back next time I have to come to California.
