Social Profile:

A welcoming experience to try the various beers produced by Spinning Wheels Brewing Project. A cozy, classic Hood River space with a nice shaded patio featuring a nice selection of vinyl music and occasional live music. Full menu of food can be ordered from our friends at Lake Taco upstairs Monday through Saturdays. Well behaved dogs are allowed on the patio only. Currently no minors are allowed but we plan on working to change that with the liquor board.

Get the Scouser beer it is all I get, it is so delicious. The vibes here are intimate yet funky, their turn table always has the best beats, and their arcade machine could keep me there for hours. Cat named Taquito is ADORBS. I have yet to experience the spring/summer patio but it sounds immaculate. Love this joint. Everyone who works there is beyond personable and friendly, including the owner. Great place, Andrew!

Love this place and their vibe. Great beer, friendly bartenders, eclectic mix of music spinning on the turntables at all times, and of course Taquito the cat. Highly recommend.

Stumbled on this place a few years ago on a trip to Hood River. Hard to find if you don’t know about it. Great beers on tap, probably the best Pale Ale I’ve had. Always love a place where you can chat with the owner or head brewer. Great place to grab one or two on your way down to the river.

Enjoyed this space for a while and home brew beer is pretty good. It’s not really a brewery but a basement serving home brew.

Witnessed staff refusing to serve super chill people on a few different occasions – I had liked this place, but in the end it was impossible to deny – after seeing it happen more than once – that Spinning wheels refused service based on race , gender and orientation.

They have a sign that says they reserve the right to refuse service to anyone – but I always assumed it meant to people who were already at their safe alcohol limit. My stomach completely hit the floor when the bartender – who otherwise seemed like a nice guy- referenced the sign to avoid serving people who weren’t cis/white. I was SO embarrassed on behalf of all of Hood River.

I didn’t understand what was going on the first time, but after it happened again I had to leave and won’t go backs

Maybe they’ll get the message eventually – go there if you like that kinda cliquey exlusive red neck vibe

Most other places in hood river are truly very inclusive, but it’s a rural small town so you’re bound to get some of this when way up-country. Don’t avoid hood river in general – at least during the day. Unfortunately spinning wheels is not a safe place for everyone and Hood River still is a ‘sun down town’ for the non white and LGBTQ community.

Upstairs Mexican restaurant is awesome and under totally different management- they have at least as good beer in a truely welcoming environment there so do totally eat and drink upstairs.

I love hood river and know we. An all do better!

Small beer list but it’s intentional to make sure the quality is high. Everything I had was the best in Hood River and the vibe in the brewery was phenomenal. Just go. Also…the bar cat is adorable.

Chill shop with a laid back vibe and really good beer. They have snacks, but no real food but Lake Taco is upstairs and you can bring your food down. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a fire pit on the patio.

Just little snacks as it’s not a full service tap room. Available beers were seasonal and all delicious. If you get the chance to meet Taquito and have her sit in your lap you’re a member for life. Andrew is an amazing host and owner. Very welcoming and easy to chat to!

Great beer and great outdoor seating. They only have 6 taps, no cider. We tried 3/6 and they were all three great. Andrew (owner) was great!

Great little beer spot in town! Great bartenders, comfy patio. Only thing they need to offer is a flight of beer, then it would be perfect.
