Stopped into Spinelli’s in downtown Louisville while in town for a conference and I was honestly blown away. The pizza is incredible, the variety of choices is wild, and the customer service is top-tier.
Our absolute favorite was the Korean BBQ pizza—you have to try it! I even grabbed a sweatshirt while I was there, and it’s easily my new favorite comfort item. My only complaint is that we don’t have one local to us; I might actually have to fly back just for another slice.
If you’re hungry and ready to chow down, stop here. Ask for Richard—he’ll take great care of you and make sure you’re well-fed!

We stopped in here after a gymnastics meet yesterday looking for a place for lunch. Most places in the area are not open until 5, which turned out to be a blessing as it led us to this Italian joint.
We ordered way to much food for 4 people, but it was hard to choose. When I saw them walk out with a pizza, it looked wonderful! It tasted as such when I got my own.
We ordered pasta, lasagna, some little sicilies (pizza filled dough appetizers), a calzone, a pizza, wings and a Caesar salad and have no recommendations for improvements. The sauce tasted fresh made as well.
When I inquired as to if it was a chain or not, it was refreshing to know it family run by the two brothers working the counter. If this gymnastics trend continues, we could be coming here for meets annually, and this place would become a staple in our trip.

Right on a corner on 4th Street. We had the Chicken and Waffles pizza and the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. The chicken and waffles was just the right mix of sweet and savory! Not overly sweet. With a light drizzle of syrup it hit that late night craving of something salty and sweet. The chicken bacon ranch pizza was great! Their thin crust is flaky and flavorful and the chicken bacon and ranch complemented the entire palate! If you’re looking for late night options for a pizza craving this is it! Nothing fancy, no frills, just great pizza. We did the slices which were literally about 3 ‘normal’ slices per piece. Visiting for New Years from Georgia and would definitely visit again next trip to Louisville. .

My husband and I ate here for a late night snack – 10/10! The atmosphere was great and bright & clean, but still colorful & fun! When we went (around 9pm), there were only a few people around. Service was super friendly, and fast! We ordered the pepperoni rolls, a slice of cheese pizza (huge thin crust), and a meatball sub sandwich! All 10/10! Would come back again!

Out of towners, you’ve got to try this!!!
We came here just to find a quick bite as we just got to town late. Thinking any food would do.

We tried 4 different pizzas, all were perfection, and so nifty!!!
Customer service was amazing, so sweet and giving us tips on the area since we are from out of town!! We love it! We’re coming back for dinner tomorrow

Came in late after work and made my early morning feel appreciated. Not just a simple conversation but true genuine vibes. Food is always great but the people are always better!

As a New Yorker born and raised, I totally understand that getting pizza by the slice will Be thin and once it’s reheated, it has a nice little crisp underneath. I feel confident the original Spinelli‘s from Philly is done the same way when you order a pizza by the slice. I was absolutely appalled when I seen with my own two eyes that they would reheat a pizza on top of paper plates for about a minute and then serve it to a customer. Leaving a warm completely soggy pizza. It’s sad to know that locals that don’t know any better would think this could potentially be the best. But I can tell you that I feel like Spinelli would be rolling over in his grave if he knew people today were not truly getting the experience they deserved and enjoying a properly reheated slice of pizza that should be placed directly inside of the oven without a plate underneath to get that nice little crisp underneath the pizza slice. If you have to ask to crisp it, you definitely do not know the proper way to enjoy a NYC slice of pizza. The staff was completely friendly and deserved props but it seems like a little retraining would complete the proper experience of a slice of pizza at a pizzeria.

First off the service was amazing! The lovely Ms. Shante was behind the counter during my visit. If she’s there you’ll have a wonderful experience. The aesthetics are amazing I love the fresh flowers on every table, the art wall and the flowers that flow up to the ceiling. It’s very open in the dining area and the windows help with the lighting and gives you a chance to people watch, lol.
The food was fresh! I had a cheese slice and a custom slice and fried Oreo’s. For the custom slice since I had several toppings I hope the dough to be a little more supportive than what it was but everything tasted very good!

The service was fantastic and the pizza was amazing! Lots of good options for a slice and none of the flavors were too over powering. I got the buffalo chicken and the waffle pizza, both fantastic! Stopped by on a trip, and when I come back to Louisville I’ll definitely will be coming back here!
