We were staying in Ottawa to do a standardized evaluation for a career. The staff here were very attentive to our needs and remembered us both days when we ate breakfast here. Hesham in particular made it memorable, we shared a very insightful conversation both days while he was making our omelet at the station which was quite flavourful. He was able to gauge what we liked based on our conversation which was impressive. He’s very kind and honestly eased our nerves for our test, and congratulated us when we returned. I would totally return to this hotel and dine here when I return to Ottawa. 🙂
Their buffet breakfast is one of the best I’ve had, their selections are more thought out compared to just scrambled eggs, bread, and meat. They had smoothies, eggs Benedict, beans, the omelet station, smoked salmon…. Pretty worth it.

We have stayed here both for business and as a family, and while the concierge lounge is currently closed, the alternative breakfast location in SPIN dos not disappoint (there are also appetizer coupons for the evening).
More specifically, we want to thank Hesham for going above and beyond to ensure our children had a memorable visit. His kind and attentive nature have our children asking to go back (and he even recognizes me without the children)!
In fact, the breakfast staff have been a highlight of the restaurant. All very kind and on the ball for a quick and enjoyable breakfast.
While I look forward to the M Lounge being built, in the meantime, the personable and friendly service is something to look forward too during breakfasts at SPIN (and an incredibly delicious buffet as well).

Food is tasty and portions are generous. Chef was helpful with requests From host staff to bartenders and wait staff this group is the friendliest and most professional customer service team I have seen in awhile! Kudos to management here for the hiring. I sampled all 3 meals and happy hour at Spin and was very happy with options and quality. Recommended!

I dropped by Spin Kitchen and Bar for a spontaneous lunch with my wife while passing near her office, and it turned out to be a solid choice. Service was decent and impressively quick — ideal for anyone on a lunch break. Our meals arrived in record time, which left us with enough minutes to take a short walk around the block and enjoy the fresh city air before heading back to work.
The food itself was good. Not groundbreaking, but it checked all the boxes. I had the pulled pork poutine — hearty, satisfying, and exactly what I needed. My wife enjoyed her soup, and we both left full and happy. Portion sizes were generous enough without going overboard.
The beer menu is fairly limited, but there’s something for everyone — I had no trouble finding one I liked.
The decor is classic business-casual: clean lines, modern touches, and a professional vibe that makes it suitable for a quick work meeting or a laid-back lunch date. One thing we noticed: there was no music playing. That might be intentional to encourage conversation, but a touch of background music would have helped soften the sound of nearby tables. That said, the spacing between groups made it a non-issue during our visit.

Dined alone arriving just before bus tour patrons. It was a cold day to tour the tulips, so I asked not to sit near the window. Ordered BLT that was supposed to be a maple barbecue sauce item, but the server said that could easily be left off. It had peameal bacon, which was! a nice change. Fresh bun and arrived hot with decent fries. Had an 8 oz red wine with it.

Had coupons from the hotel as the lounge there remains closed so was lucky to get to go for morning breakfast buffet as well as evening appetizers. Our morning server Albert went above and beyond helping to accommodate my celiac son and his gluten free needs, as well as to make sure I had a coffee to go every day. Excellent service, great food and nice atmosphere (lobby noise from hotel affect ambiance slightly, thus the 4/5 grading there).

This was my first visit to Canada, and I stayed at the Marriott with Spin on the main floor, oh my was I impressed! Aside from the comfort and beauty of my room, I came down for breakfast expecting the usual complimentary service and was met by a hostess! I got the buffet and enjoyed a custom omelet, bacon, roasted vegetables, fruit, the smoothest coffee ever and Albert’s service! He was responsive, friendly, helpful, and kind. Thank you for an amazing first time experience Spin, Albert, and chef!

Been to this restaurant twice for lunch in the last couple of weeks and I have been impressed. Great, quick and courteous service and a nice selection of dish on the menu. Had a different salad each time (grilled salmon orzo in picture) and they were both delicious. Salmon was perfectly cooked and tasty and the orzo was not soaking in dressing. Delicious! Like most hotel restaurants, it’s a little pricey but I still recommend it.

The look of the place for a Marriot is dated not much decoration for Xmas. Breakfast buffet wasn’t refilled passed 10am. We ordered eggs Benedict and they made them “fresh” supposedly but they looked so stale the hollandaise tasted awful. Worst eggs Benedict I have had. My husband loves brunch and breakfast buffet and he wanted to try this one for his birthday. Thank goodness our friends weren’t able to come (last minute decision) coz my husband and kids weren’t impressed at all. I didn’t think it was worth 33$. Our server was excellent but the food and variety disappointing.
