Some of the best and freshest seafood on the East Coast that I have ever had. This is a place that the locals frequent often. Extremely affordable prices with a wide menu selection that will appeal to any taste. The crab stuffed flounder was amazing and the scallops are real scallops. I had the broiled platter that had a little of everything on it and it did not disappoint. The food was so awesome I ordered the second entre of the crab stuffed flounder. Highly recommend this place. It is a very unassuming building and the dinning area is very quaint as you have the option of picking out your meal from the refrigerated case showing the most recent catch of the day.

I love Spike’s. It’s my go to for a wonderful fish meal. For under $20 I had a delicious broiled monkfish fillet, slaw and taters. Doesn’t get any better. The staff are all really cool people, the fish market has a great selection of super fresh items and the joint is right next to the Manasquan river. Worth it every single time!

Small, Casual local seafood spot. They have nothing fried on the menu, but it is not necessary with the selection they had. All 3 of had the lobster bisque and were happy with it. We had the flounder stuffed with crab meat and shrimp parm with linguine. Both were very good. Our waitress was very informative as we had a bunch of questions about the menu; which featured many specials. Didn’t partake in any desserts but they sounded interesting. Will return.

The best seafood cooked, and fresh to go. You have to get the lobster bisque! The staff is friendly and awesome! Definitely a place to go all year!

The place is really nice and quaint. It’s got a fisherman coming back from out to sea. Kind of feel everybody’s really kind and knowledgeable about the food. The service was great and the server was attentive and quick. The food was extremely fresh. All seafood never fried. I mean you got the doc and the fishing boats right out back. It doesn’t get any fresher than that The food is very well. Seasoned cooked perfectly and again fresh. I will certainly be returning here. I highly suggest you give this place a go. You certainly won’t be disappointed.

Wow!! First time visit, but definitely not the last. Cozy and laid-back atmosphere, with a very friendly staff. Perfect for families, individuals like me, and definitely perfect for dinner after a day at the beach.
Lobster bisque like none other that I won’t stop thinking about until the next time I have it. Delicious, fresh local oysters (offerings rotate to different ones each week).
A wealth of choices of specials, fresh fish, and my new favorite, Neptune’s Nest: scallops, clams, mussels, shrimp and a whole lobster tail, served in a garlic cream sauce, inside a delicious bread bowl. Saw some nice varieties of pie go by, but hard to leave room for dessert with the generous portions.
I shall return, soon!!

This place has been around for nearly 100 years. No review can offset that accomplishment. We went for lunch. Blacked tuna was cooked perfect but more like 4 tuna bites, no sides except plain geens. More like an appetizer for $17.95.

Spikes was good the first time we went for lunch. We ordered the stuffed crab, stuffed mushrooms, lobster melt and raw clams. We all loved that food! At dinner time the next day, the food was a bit different, not as good. The clam bake was big, but the corn was very dry and my friends ordered rare steaks and got them well done. It was full of people but there were plenty of waitresses and waiters available. They are very clean and the service is good overall. I recommend the stuffed clams or scallops

Haven’t been here in years & was looking forward to having lunch there. The clams on the half shell & NE clam chowder were good. The shrimp salad was tasteless & was served on a roll that tasted like it was previously frozen & defrosted. The home fries had a seasoning that we didn’t appreciate; perhaps Cumin? The waitress seemed like she was bothered by our presence & could be overheard at the counter talking to a co-worker about personal issues.
We had planned to buy some fresh fish to take home, but we didn’t as the selection was not great.
We did get a piece of key lime pie to go which was fine.
