Old pizza place turned into taco & tequila bar. Ample parking and easy to get to. Decent sized bar with fun decorations. Drinks are expensive, definitely not the best $15 margarita. Food menu has a bunch of decent offerings, steak tacos were pretty good (also expensive). Chips save this place they are decent. For the price I’d rather go to Jose’s in spring lake or Celito Lindo in brick the quality is much higher for a fraction of the cost

Really enjoyed the place. Fun atmosphere inside. Drinks are great. They have a nice drink variety and an awesome tequila selection. Like the margarita options, however, wasn’t crazy about them as I do not like sour mix and felt the flavor of the margaritas was entirely too sweet for my liking. I did like the Tiki do you love me, drink. Dislike the fact that it had orange sugar instead of orange salt as stated, even though when I asked the bartender she swore up and down it was salt. It was not in no way shape or form salt. I hate sugar on tequila drinks, it just doesn’t go. Indo highly recommend their quest dip. The portion is absolutely huge and enough to share with a large table which is nice. Would definitely go back to try more items off the menu. And would reccomend to friends.

To start the night out right. We waited to eat… my wife saw this place… (wait we just learned a lesson order the empanadas for an appetizer and share one..so you can bringone home.) OK back at it. The wife got the pork carnitas and a mango margarita… she had such a good time w/ the food and beverage. I ate one and just avoided a punch to the chops.. good times.
I had the carne asadas with refried beans and rice and a classic margarita.. and topped it off w/ one of my wife’s tacos. Yup i mentioned it again. Its a fun inside joke.. or lessoned learned don’t leave food around me.. hahah.. im laughing about being a gluten… we agreed on the tres leches cake. So we can have the flan when we bring Mike and doors back here. I feel a little regular date night spot. Everything is so good.. atmosphere dynamic.. excellent.
Radio volume perfect.
Waiting staff person Rebecca was fun she had the knowledge was dead on. Very good all around. Easy bike ride or walk.. watch for cars.. safety first.

I had high hopes! The ambiance was great so I was excited to try the food. The chips and salsa honestly tasted like they were from Trader Joe’s … I was hoping the food would
Be way more Mexican authentic. The chips and salsa usually set the tone and so it was already disappointing from the get go. The table side guac was $15 and we all looked at each other because it was literally a SMALL avocado worth of guac in a huge bowl…… usually when a restaurant serves table side guac they show you scooping the avocados from the skin… this was already in the bowl and then pre portioned “add ins” in little black cups that they mixed. Super disappointing. The guac you get on the side of a meal tasted Nothing like the table side one- it was disgusting. Like a package or frozen kind idk. The entrees were meh. The drinks were decent -so I’d maybe go back for drinks but likely not for food. $140 for 4 of us and only 3 drinks. Yikes! I’m glad others enjoyed and had a good experience but this is how I felt.
FYI I am not but my cousin is vegan and this is NOT a very vegan friendly place- rice / beans both cooked in butter and veggie fajitas she got didn’t even come out sizzling. Tortillas weren’t served. Just a plate of n peppers and onions.
Server was very kind!!!!! Food does not reflect her.

We had a great experience and Kelly (our waitress) was super sweet and attentive! The food was delicious and if you love churros they are a must! We enjoyed the margarita flight (my husband and I each got one) and they were delicious! We will definitely be back!

Amazing new Mexican restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food!
As of writing this review, Spicy’s just opened up in Point Pleasant this week. It’s from the same owners of Spicy’s Cantina in Seaside.
While the space is small in the restaurant (most of the building is taken up by a liquor store), Spicy’s makes the most of it with a chic bar and plenty of tables, even some outside for when it gets warm out.
My party and I sat by the bar. We were taken care of by the bartender Mike, who was helpful and handled everything from our drinks to taking our orders very quickly. He spoke with us on the whole opening situation of the restaurant and was very friendly all throughout the night.
The food came out very quickly, despite how crowded the restaurant. We ordered the empanadas (chicken and beef), chicken quesadilla, and chicken fajitas. Everything turned out to be excellent with no complaints.
So happy this place has opened. Plan to come here very often.

Let me start by saying the decor and service were fine, the food on the other hand in my opinion is overpriced upscale Taco Bell (for what you get) and bland. I ordered a chorizo burrito that said served with Pico (wasn’t Pico, lettuce and diced tomato), sour cream, rice and refried beans. The rice and beans were in the burrito and that is all I tasted, if there was chorizo it had no flavor, any good Mexican restaurant serves the rice and beans on yhe plate even if there is some in the burrito, misleading. Just not what I expected, small portions and bland.
