We went for half off night which was a great savings. Most of the rolls were decent. The yellowtail rolls were made with minced fish and green onion. These were fishy tasting and the onion was overwhelming. We let our server know about it and she she brought us replacements made with sliced fish. These were better but the onion was still very strong. Overall half off night is a deal but for full price there are several other places that are a better experience.

Let me start by saying that this place has a strange atmosphere. I can’t place my finger on it. The decor is odd and the servers treat you like you’re an inconvenience. The first time I went here back in April 2022, it did not feel this way. I’m used to younger servers being this way, so I’m not shocked. Regardless, I also don’t remember being disappointed about the food. We paid 15 dollars for a sampler where we got a selection of starters. All of it was overloaded with salt. The shrimp was the only thing that didn’t taste overly salty but it was a bit low quality for the prices this place charges. When our sushi came, it was very dry. The rice was so dry I could barely swallow it. Even the fish was somehow dry. The toro roll was missing scallion and didn’t taste or even look like fatty tuna. This was probably the worst and most expensive sushi I’ve had in town so far during my four years in Toledo. I do not want to come back here.

Every time I am in BG to visit my son we come here. The food is always amazing. The staff is always pleasant. My son even brought his teammates here and now they come pretty much every Saturday for the sushi. Same great sushi at a discount. AND that cauliflower appetizer is probably the best I’ve had so far. They never disappoint! Highly recommend.

This is my second time dining at Spicy Tuna; it will be my last. I want to preface with a comment about my waitress. She was not a bad server. Most of the staff is friendly when they aren’t focused on personal conversations with one another. We’re all working adults and this didn’t bother me.

We eat here somewhat regularly. Food is always fresh! They have some unique dishes, some that are not, are excellent! Not greasy, oily, heavy. Their vegan sushi & dishes – out of this world! You would not even know the difference between their regular & vegan sushi / dishes! This is my step-daughter & son in law’s favorites when they are in town. Love local! One of my favorites to support!

Updated review from last night, Friday May 19: I officially give up on giving this place business. Went last night and ate inside with my friend for half off sushi. This place has the worse servers and I will no longer go to this restaurant! They were not even that busy and our server, Molly, took a while to come to our table to take our order. Never once did she check on us after we got our food, never got asked for refills on our drinks, and she had another server bring us our bill?! Even after we got our bill, we still were never checked on. Only seen our server twice, for our order and to bring us our food, and to have another server bring us our bill and to never check on us or offer refills on our drinks?! Do better!! Review from two months ago:Sushi is good but I only order take out from here now. The last few times I went there, the service wasn’t that great. Servers acted like they never served before, got the wrong sushi, and the bill is always wrong and needs to be fixed.
