This restaurant is located right next to the famous Little Sichuan—healthy competition is always welcome. The interior feels newly renovated with a pleasant ambience, something I wish Little Sichuan would consider as well.
We ordered three dishes: Chongqing Spicy Chicken, Flavor Kitchen Cage Frog, and Dry-Baked Green Beans. Both the spicy chicken and the cage frog were quite good. The green beans were just okay; they were a bit stringy, and I’ve definitely had more tender versions elsewhere.
Be prepared to wait a bit for your food. It took about 15–20 minutes for our first dishes to arrive. This might actually be a good sign, since many Chinese restaurants rely heavily on pre-prepped ingredients—here it seems they cook more from scratch, which takes longer but tastes fresher.
Overall, we had a positive experience and will be adding this restaurant to our list for future visits.

Came here multiple times bc of my favorite Fish-flavored Shrimp Shreds (鱼香肉丝). This time tried Spicy Shrimp (香辣虾), which was juicy and spicy that also very good! Loofah (清炒丝瓜) is hard to find in Bay Area but a popular dish at home. Dry pot chicken (干锅鸡) actually was tender. Would definitely come again!!

We have waited for over one hour in the diner before we got our to-go order. People who had come in after us got served prior to us, some people came in after us, finished eating and left already before our order is ready. Gee! If you wanna do to-go order or order food delivery online, cancel it and go elsewhere, this restaurant obviously prioritize s dine-in orders over to-go orders,even though you are literally sitting in the restaurant and watching everybody after you got served, this place is not worth your time, plus it’s cooking is just so so.

The price is low, the food is tasty and the portion is large. We ordered a few and none is very spicy. The whole fish, black bass is very fresh and cooked with flavor. Smoked pork has strong smoke flavor. The husband-wife team is from Sichuan. The chef cooks slowly with care. Our cold beef mixture dish came out last after 40 minutes.

If you love Chongqing food, this place is a must-try! My go-to dish, Mao Xue Wang, is incredibly flavorful here with the perfect balance of spice. The luncheon meat, duck blood, tripe, fish fillets, and noodles are all cooked to perfection.

Our party of three just had dinner there tonight. Food is good and portion is generous. We ordered CQ fried chicken, nicely done, I wish they just deep fried for another minute to over fried to make it more crispy.. We also ordered pepper w pork intestine.
