The owner and staff were nice. The food was kind of typical Hyderabadi/Andhra street food and delicious. We tried a few items but I have only one picture. Make sure you write your name on #thespicewall

Has Potential but Needs Work

Tried this place recently since it’s new, and the experience was pretty mixed. The samosa was really good, and the staff here are super friendly and polite. When I mentioned issues, they fixed things right away, which I appreciated. They also have a live Pani Puri counter, which was fun to try (I’d give it a 3/5).

On the flip side, a lot didn’t quite hit the mark. The chai was strong but barely warm, which was disappointing. I ordered Chicken Fry Biryani but got regular biryani instead. The chicken in the biryani tasted stale, and the rice was dry with hardly any masala.

Also, something to be aware of: the prices on the menu don’t include service tax. If you pay cash, you’re fine, but if you pay by card, their POS system adds tax to each item, which felt a little sneaky.

Overall, this spot has potential, and I think the staff really cares, but the food and pricing need some serious improvement before I’d come back.

Biriyani was very tangy and didn’t taste great. So much food colour is very disappointing moreover it’s not even mixed properly. Had higher expectations in quantity, quality and taste for the price point.

Ordered food and then a Health Inspector came in after. They proceeded to not make my food for a whole hour while the inspector was there. I had to work so I asked for a refund since they would not make my food during inspection. They refused and said it was my fault. Horrible customer service and I couldn’t even tell you if the food was good or not since I was never served. Better places with better people behind the counter than this place.

I tried the Mirapakaya Chicken Biryani and Aritaku Kodi Pulao at Spicy Hut, and both were outstanding! The biryani had just the right spice kick, and the pulao was flavorful, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. The ambiance is excellent, making it a great place to enjoy authentic flavors with comfort. Definitely a must-visit!

I had a great experience here! The food was flavorful and fresh, especially the paneer biryani. The naan came out hot and soft, perfect for dipping. Staff were super friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for authentic Indian food.

Some of the best biryani I’ve had in the us. I love that they serve it in banana leaf, adds such a subtle but delicious note of flavor. Will be back to try other things.

Spicy Hut Tempe is a must-try! The food is full of authentic flavors — especially their biryanis and Majestic Chicken. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff are super friendly. The place has a cozy vibe and smells amazing the moment you walk in. Definitely one of the best Indian spots in Tempe!

Asked for extra spicy food. He Told me is was very spicy. Asked for a spicy pepper or anything. He brought me black pepper. Place is a joke. Food needs help. Customer service is horrible. Goat was very chewy, got more bones than meat. EXTREMELY OVER PRICED. FOOD NEEDS A REAL CHEFS HELP. Leaving to go get real food.

I recently visited Spicy Hut in Tempe, and it’s a great spot if you’re craving authentic Telugu flavors. The biryani was flavorful with the right amount of spice, and the portion sizes were generous. I especially enjoyed the Chicken 65 Biryani — it had the perfect balance of heat and taste.
