I want to start by saying that the service from the waitress was amazing. She was attentive and polite. This is one of the only reasons for giving them any stars. The outdoor seating are is nice as well because the views are pleasant and the breeze was nice. However the food served at this establishment is at best very average. I ordered the chicken al pastor tacos and I found them to be dry and under seasoned. This dish is typically served with juicy marinated chicken. This was not the case at the Spicy Cantina. My daughter had the shrimp tacos and she stated that they were not that good. Coming from a hungry teenager that usually never complains was concerning. My son did enjoy his spicy chicken wings at least. One of the worst parts of the experience was the water I was served. I’m guessing they get it from the water machine. The water tasted straight up like old plastic. I had my husband taste it and he said it was probably due to them not cleaning the machine correctly. I told the waitress about it and she was very graceful and apologetic. Oh and the margherita flight was definitely made with cheap liquor. It gave me a headache and I it was basically cheap tequila with lots of flavored syrup. No real balance was noted in the mixture. No salt or sugar rim. In the end and $120 dollars later I was left unsatisfied and disappointed. I probably would have been better off getting food from the boardwalk. Trust me I don’t like writing these types of reviews but I think you should know these things before you go to this establishment.

This will be my go to spot whenever I visit seaside. The restaurant is huge, has indoor and outdoor seating. The food was amazing. They start you off with nachos and salsa.
We ordered a birria quesadilla and coconut shrimp tacos. Beyond perfection. Great in flavor and not too filling. The drinks were good as well, not weak or cheap on liquor. Highly recommend grabbing some food here.

Great location outside on boardwalk. Upstairs too. Food is typical but I will add that my philly cheese steak was perfect and better than expected. Five stars for providing a decent live rock band and no cover.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My family and I visited Spicy’s Cantina on August 6th and sat upstairs at the bar. Our total was $58.22 before tip, and we chose to split the bill between my debit card and my partner’s credit card. After running the cards, the bartender returned saying their system was down and they could only accept cash — something we were never told before ordering. We didn’t have cash on us, but she said we could return later and even wrote down our card info “just in case.”
When we came back around 8 PM, the system was working again. My partner paid the entire bill in full on his credit card, no problem. But three days later, on August 9th, I checked my account and saw that Spicy’s Cantina charged me seven times — one charge for $58.22 and six charges for $29.11, totaling $234 for a meal that had already been paid for.
I called immediately and was told it was a “POS system issue” and that the charges would “eventually clear.” No one ever called me back. I had to follow up multiple times, and it took 14 days for those charges to finally fall off. For two weeks, that $234 was tied up, leaving me without access to my own money.
Then, unbelievably, on October 26th, the same exact thing happened again — seven new charges in the same amounts. Another $234 pending on my account. Now I’m out nearly $466 for a single meal that was paid in full months ago.
I’ve tried calling Spicy’s repeatedly, but the line just loops into endless hold music. No one answers, no one calls back, and there has been zero accountability or apology. My account even overdrafted because of these duplicate charges, and the restaurant has done nothing to help.
What was supposed to be a nice meal with my family ended up compromising my bank account. I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism or lack of care from a business.
This entire experience has been a nightmare. I will never dine here again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place unless you want to deal with unauthorized charges, zero communication, and complete disregard for customer service.

Lovely Mexican. I’ve been back multiple times due to how great the food is. Reasonably priced and very sizeable quantities. Would definitely recommend!

Spicy! One word says it all at this spacious Cantina with great views of the ocean and boardwalk. We ate upstairs and had good service. The drinks were excellent and the food came fast and hot. Chips and salsa come with the meal and were pretty good. Overall, I’d recommend trying out this place. Hope this helps!

It was a nice restaurant with good views and live musics! It’s connected to their arcade so you can enjoy both. Food was good and staffs were friendly. It’s kind of expensive but if you consider the location I think it can be reasonable. I really enjoyed the music and atmosphere there too. It was nice 🙂
