Magical Pancake
The spicy ahi is really on point. A little kick to it and great with rice. The fried oysters are the best I’ve come across on the island. At least when I got them they were super fresh, juicy, and nice batter crunch. The tempura is good but by the time you get take out home it’s mostly soggy. The dipping sauces are all so ono. The mochiko chicken sits a bit on the sweet side which I don’t mind but some folks might not care for it. Overall excellent and usually a top choice for this area.

Nice Japanese restaurant, clean and simplly designed. Surprisingly good food, the tempura was light and crispy. The Teriyaki steak was a steak and not just pieces of beef. The udon was just as good as Jimbo’s too! The two item combo is $17.00 as of 08/20/2016 and is a bargain for the amount of food that is given. They bring out a bowl of rice that is only half which you can have refilled if you are hungry. I get it because I can imagine how much rice is thrown away each week. I will definitely go back and maybe share my meal.

I find myself here usually once a week getting my fix for some fantastic Japanese food. Every menu item I’ve tried has been absolutely phenomenal and there’s such a great variety, there’s something for everyone. Notably, the tempura here is the best I’ve had on the entire island island. The spicy ahi is also of a quality that makes it worth of being their namesake. I could talk on and on about so many items on the menu but honestly, this is somewhere you should experience for yourself. You won’t regret it.

This restaurant has irregular opening schedule and an annual trip for all employees. So it’s going to be close for around 2 weeks each year i believe. It’s best to check which days those are before randomly stopping by. With that said, the food is delicious. There’s lots of combinations you can do and the choice is yours. I did spicy ahi with chicken katsu. With ahi, it adds $2 additional to your plate. So it came out to around $21 for this plate. Kind of pricy for the amount of food. Still the food is delicious, quality is great and service is fast amd friendly.

The meals, like in Japan, comes with many dishes. From miso soup, salad with a great flavored dressing and my favorite, Spicy Ahi. Prepared unlike anything being sold here now. I had the combo with teriyaki chicken. The chicken was much drier, over cooked or not marinated as before and cut into smaller pieces. Perhaps a new or different cook. But the very tasty sauce or glaze was still there!

Great food, reasonable prices and quick service. I ate the misoyaki salmon. Always so tender and moist. My husband had the unagi and salmon teishoku. Hot tea served with meal as well as tossed salad and miso soup. One of my favorite restaurants.

My favorite place to eat! As the name suggests, one must get the spicy ahi. Otherwise, everything else tastes great. Service is good too. Might have to wait a little while, as they are only open 4 days and are usually pretty busy.
