What strikes me about this, is the quality in the food, presentation and cooking. The portions might be a little smaller in certain meals, but you certainly notice the high quality and presentation. The second thing I noticed is the sweet chilli sauce in everything. Love or hate it, it certainly adds a different take to popular dishes.
Personally I didn’t like the taco fries, but in the shawarma it makes the dish.
The first time we visited Hubby had the donner box, and the Wifey had the wings in teriyaki sauce… Also lovely. While these portions are smaller than others. It’s not a bad thing, as hubby personally prefers quality over quantity. This place certainly has both.
Also the cooking times are slightly slower, but not really so much that you would be upset waiting. The place is small and the kitchen must be even smaller, so this might be the cause in slightly longer wait times.
On the second visit, hubby tried the taco fries with shawarma. Both great, however as taco fries go, I prefer spicy over sweet. Not too spicy though, but those are my tastes. Not what I personally feel is traditional or what makes a good taco fries.
This is a great little joint, and Hubby and Wifey would recommend food here. While it’s overly sweet food at times, a bit too much for me, it’s still tasty.
Finally the staff and service is very pleasant. Very respectful and courteous, and a nice place to eat at.
Wifey and Hubby will definitely come back for a curry…

Didn’t have the first 2 things I ordered on the menu.
Ended up getting a kebab tray. It was quite small. It didn’t have much salad on it. No cabbage. Basically just lettuce, chips, meat and sause.
It was nice all the same. I’ll go back but I’ll be drunk when I do.

Wait time was atrocious, ordered for a group of 4 and were waiting for an hour till we got our food from when we placed the order. To add to that, the door wouldn’t close fully and the place was freezing cold. The horrible music didn’t help either.
The person at the till was very helpful with the menu and some custom orders but the kitchen didn’t deliver. The food was good overall when it eventually arrived. They serve halal food which is very good.
Still a good place to visit nonetheless but these small things should be taken into consideration by the business.

First time eating from here, I heard a lot about Spicy Affair from family members and I have to say the food is great, I had the korma and it was delicious. The only thing I’m not pleased with is the waiting time, I rang in my order for collection and the man told me it would be 20 minutes, I arrived to collect it 25 minutes later hoping I could walk straight out with it but no. I had to wait 40 minutes for 2 kormas and 2 rice, wasn’t that happy about waiting longer but overall I would visit again.

Amazing food,so tasty, enjoyed it very much.Chicken shashlik is perfection, cauliflower pakora is great too.Even got complimentary papadum and dip with my meal.The gentleman who delivered my dinner is nice and friendly and my food arrived right on time.Thank you.

We ordered some food to collect and were presented with the smallest samosas we’d ever seen. Mains were Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma, sad to say these were very sweet and not authentic in my opinion. The overriding sensation was that of sweetness, the subtle, mild taste of the Korma was smothered and the Tikka Masala was like eating pieces of chicken covered in a sweet sauce.
Have seen other reviews praising the food but this was my first visit and I can only say what I thought of the food on the day. I lived in Bradford , Yorkshire for a time and of course there are some fantastic Asian food outlets there so maybe I had been spoiled however this outlet needs to get rid of the sweetness and make the food a little more authentic.
The place looked clean and well run, service was friendly .

I recently ordered takeout from Spicy Affair, and their shawarma is outstanding! The flavors were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. The portions were generous, and it’s clear they use fresh ingredients. The food arrived warm and well-packaged. Definitely my new go-to spot for a delicious and hearty meal. Highly recommend!

We took gobi pakora -not at all good, veg biryani was a joke . Tandoori gril chicken was just some colour there was no flavor.
