Lovely food . Service was good. Just not enough . Portions were very small for the price . Sunday Brunch option. It was very quiet too as it was Sunday afternoon. No issues at all with that . As I said there just wasn’t enough. This was the view of the whole party also. 6 x adults 3 Men / 3 women.

This one blew me away guys, can’t remember having a better Indian meal. Had a Lamb lahori, vegetable fried rice and a tarka dhal. The lamb practically melted in my mouth it was so tender. Incredible work by the chefs. I always love a dhal and this one didn’t disappoint. Add to that Kingfisher on draft and great service, it’s all win . If you’re in the area, you’ll not be disappointed.

We booked a table at Spice Valley back in November for a friend’s birthday and arrived at our booked time of 7pm, but still waited around 20 minutes for our table.
First round of drinks took 10–15 minutes to arrive with poppadoms following shortly after. By 9pm — two hours after arrival — we still hadn’t received our mains. Our table hadn’t been cleared of empty drinks, poppadom plates or chutney trays, and we waited around 35 minutes for a second round of drinks. Staff were made aware of the delays twice before the drinks eventually arrived.
When the food did arrive, my jalfrezi was really good and full of flavour. Unfortunately, my girlfriend’s korma arrived barely warm, which was disappointing. From my point of view the food itself was good, but the service throughout the evening was frankly atrocious after only leaving at 9:40 nearly three hours after arriving.
We understand it was New Year’s Eve and that it was busy, but there was very little communication, no proactive updates, and no acknowledgment that this was a birthday booking. The service really let the evening down
All the best. N x

Excellent food and service. They have a vegan and a vegetarian menu, you can see the chefs cook the food too.
The mixed vegan starter was divine, some of the best onion bhajis I’ve had in a long time. I asked for the aloo gobi to be hot and it was just right, spicy hot! rich flavours and high quality vegetables cooked to perfection. And a choice of breads too!
The staff were welcoming, the tables had a great vibe, lighting and a high end feel to the converted church. There was a mistake in the missing chips/rice, which was fine as the portions were plenty, which they billed us for but they removed this when informed. It was good value for money either way. We had a good customer service experience over all and will be back for more in the future.

I’m actually reviewing the Cooking Class experience, not the restaurant itself. We had an absolutely brilliant time. We booked in for a 2 hour class and it was just the two of us. The chef demonstrated everything and then we had a go ourselves. His English wasn’t fantastic (although considerably better than my Indian ) but there was someone else there to talk us through it all. We made onion bhajis, chicken Rogan Josh, pilau rice and garlic and coriander naans – enough to feed at least 4 people. We were really well looked after, made to feel really welcome and had a lot of fun. I was a little concerned before I went about how they would deal with hygiene. I needn’t have worried – they were absolutely on top of it throughout! They supplied us with aprons and chefs hats, notebook and pens and we could keep all of those at the end of the session. We even got a certificate for completing the class. It gave us the confidence, some knowledge and the desire to have many more attempts at making Indian food from scratch. We even got to take all of our food home to feed us and the rest of the family. All in all, I can’t recommend it highly enough – we had a fantastic time and felt it was great value for money. If you like Indian food and fancy a go at learning to make it or if you just fancy a really fun time with a friend – book a class!

The first time I visited I found the food quite bland and thought the service was quite poor – restaurant was pretty much empty yet we had to ask for poppadoms and ask to take our food order. I visited again on NYE and one word – atrocious! Service was extremely slow, but the restaurant was busy so understandable however, the food was appalling. The food was extremely bland – had no taste whatsoever. The worst part of all – I ordered paneer tikka for my starter and it was like chewing rubber. I took a bite and looked inside and it was yellow/brown, could tell it hadn’t been cooked properly. Definitely won’t be returning to this place!

We held our run club presentation evening at Spice Valley, Sanjeev and the team truly looked after us, we hired upstairs and had around 75 guests and enjoyed a buffet and poppadoms at the table. They made a range of different curries and starters and chicken pieces to enjoy and there was plenty of food for us all and some enjoyed seconds.
The bar staff were excellent and did a great job serving so many of us, no queuing at all. We had a DJ and it was fabulous, the food is always good but these guys are really well organised for big groups and parties and serving that amount of food tasty and hot is a credit to the team. Thanks for hosting us for another year.

I’ve been going for years on and off but I feel I have to warn people away from this place based on their food or encourage them to bring their food to a higher standard.
It was an awful curry which tasted of nothing, and made me feel dreadful like it was thickened with flour instead of actual ingredients. Shame really, used to be good food but I could genuinely get better from a super market.
The service and people are still good but the curry is not worth the money. Never mind, plenty of other places to eat.
Nice enough people, not good enough food.
I won’t be going again until I hear different
