The bullet naan was awesome and cheese kulcha was AMAZING! The chicken tikka masala had a good sauce but the chicken didn’t taste very good (had an odd taste) or have much flavor. The chili garlic noodles were OK but also not much flavor. My boyfriend got the Gongura Goat and loved the sauce but, again, the meat wasn’t super great.
Overall, worth a try — the naan and kulcha blew us away and the prices were really good but we didn’t like the chicken or goat despite the tasty sauces. The sauce was awesome for rice and naan dipping though.

Ordered veg biriyani and it looks like white biriyani. Serving white rice at the price of biriyani earned them 1 star rating

I recently ordered veg Hakka noodles and vej fried rice (buy one get one) through uber at night 11.30pm. But did u guys know what they did.. they cooked noodles once and packed one box noodles with no spices at all. And chopped the same extra noodles and make it a veg biryani with it without any spices even salt… and it’s waste of my money like 50$. And it makes me not to order food from spice up again.. it just kills my expectations for food. I recommend you guys not to order food from spice up anymore.

I have ordered two spice up boneless chicken biriyani and two sambar rice. The biriyani was overcooked and overly spiced, when eating all I taste is powdered spice, each and every bite is like powdery and the sambar rice literally had no taste, it felt like eating rice with water. Very disappointing and would never recommend to any of my family or friends.

They have serious food-safety issues. Found a dead cockroach in the biryani we ordered. Horrible experience. Absolutely unacceptable.

Worst Food ever experienced. one day I’ve ordered Double ka meetha and chicken curry, chicken is undercooked and it is like they just threw the chicken pieces in the gravy which is prepared before. Double Ka meetha is like stale and it is like prepared 7 days before. Worst experience, please try to avoid this restaurant!

This has become my go-to in Jersey City. I’m incredibly picky about my south Indian food and a lot of restaurants in Journal Square only have a few dishes that are tasty while the rest are a miss. Everything I’ve ordered from this place has been extremely tasty. I’ve ordered the goat/veg/chicken biryanis, goat sukka, parotta, samosas and goat kurma, and every one of these items have been a hit. I will continue to order from here.
One thing I do wish is that the chicken biryani had more meat in it as my order only came with two pieces of chicken. Same with the sukka and kurma – they are not worth the price for the amount you get (+ the sukka is very oily) but still delicious.
