I have been in UK for about three years now and I have been having desi (Indian/Pakistani) food from outside ever since. I can say with no hesitation that this place serves the worst Indian/Pakistani food I ever had and to top it of, their servers were rude and lacked basic manners.
I visited this place considering the food I had in their Manchester branch, but sadly they were not even 1% as good as that branch.
Would have been better if I had some snack from tesco instead.

My wife and I went for supper with two friends
The service was both unobtrusive and attentive and they easily met a request to have food ready in time for one of our party who needed to leave early
The choices on the menu were varied and well explained by the waiter
The food was delicious
And the restaurant atmosphere was dignified and above all was quiet enough that we could talk amongst ourselves with ease
There was a Bollywood dance movie playing on one wall mounted TV screen however the volume was not excessive
Overall, we recommend without hesitation

Decent curry – standard for Magdalen St, but with a slightly more eclectic menu, especially for those who like seafood.
Slightly limited vegetarian options, but paneer is plentiful and well executed.
Starters, broadly speaking, were middling and not singing with flavour.
Mains were very decent. Not the hottest (even Madras, Phals, Ceylon), but flavoursome.

This is my favorite Indian resturant in Norwich! No competitor to this one!! I just love it and won’t say no to any offer or invitation to this resturant. I love the environment there. The lights are nice, all art work on the wall and the music give you a taste of the culture in combination with the food. Go and enjoy with no regret !!

Terrible and rude service, We booked this table WEEKS in advance and called every single week to check that we were still booked in to which they said yes, got there on time for our booking which was 7pm only to be told that they had double booked which meant we had to wait for a table to come up, we were waiting 30 minutes just to sit down and we asked if we could get a complimentary drink since we had been mucked about so much. To which the waiter told us “if we don’t like it we can just leave” and showed no sympathy for the fact that it was a birthday party for my colleague which had been ruined by the error on their part. We received no apology and the service for getting drinks and food was awful, after sitting down at half 7 we were waiting another half an hour just to order drinks and we asked if we could do food at the same time but they ignored us and walked off – we finally got to order food at 8 (only an hour after we were supposed to have sat down) which didn’t start to arrive until quarter to 9 and we were supposed to be at a bar at 9 that we had booked out so a few of us had to abandon our meals just to get to the bar so that they wouldn’t charge us for not showing up. Food was ok, tasty but nothing to scream about – certainly not worth the wait, and as for the bill we got so fed up of waiting patiently and waving our hands that we had to go up to the man who was calculating everything and ask him for the bill which took an age in itself. Eventually paid and left but terrible service would not recommend.

We booked a table 4 weeks in advance for a Christmas work party, kept us waiting an hour and a half for our table and tried to charge us for more food and drinks than we actually ordered. We were not drunk or disruptive. Food tasted like it had been frozen for a while and defrosted for service, bland and unappetising. Staff were rude and tried to scam us, does not even deserve one star, disgusting service and treatment, ridiculous behaviour from the restaurant we will never come back, you’ve lost 25 customers.
