This is my favorite restaurant in the Rancho Cordova/Folsom area. I’ve tried most of the Persian and Afghan restaurants in the area and this is my favorite. The mantu dumplings amazing The lamb chops are perfectly seasoned and cooked every time, the beef kabobs are tender and packed with flavor, and the chicken biryani is rich, aromatic, and balanced. The naan is fresh, warm, and some of the best I’ve had. The white/green/red sauces are incredible and ties everything together. On top of the food, the service is consistently top tier —
attentive, welcoming, and professional. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful experience we had at dinner tonight. Not pictured was the dal & Naan we had. My wife got the chicken Tikka kebab plate & I had the beef kubideh plate. Every last bit of food was so flavorful & delicious. We absolutely can’t wait to go back.

I was the only person in the restaurant at lunch time on a Saturday. I had been here years ago and was in the area and wanted to try it again.

I ordered the chicken malai plate with garlic naan. The lady that took my order was very friendly and said it was one of her favorite meal choices.

I sat there for 30 minutes ( with no other customers) while I waited for my meal. They said they make it from scratch, which I appreciate, but how long does it take to cook chicken kabobs?

After all that, I found it to be bland and I will no be going back.

This place is incredibly cozy with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff has great energy, and the service was impressively quick. The lamb chops were absolutely delicious—juicy and perfectly cooked in an authentic tandoori oven. For the quality of food and the convenience of the location, the prices are super reasonable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The food was decent and I appreciated the fresh cooking outside. We did get some wrong orders but didn’t realize til we got home. The huge “trump is my president” sign as soon as you walk in is honestly very offputting. I guess if you want to turn away customers then that’s a great way to do it. I don’t really want a restaurant to make me think of politics as soon as I walk into the door but ok.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant with large portions of freshly prepared food and the kindest wait staff. Highly recommend their chicken thigh and the Tikka Kabab plate with lamb! Not to mention the phenomenal, freshly baked naan.

Everything is full of flavor and they have additional sauces and spices at the table. The only thing not made in-house is the baklava, but it’s still very good! Don’t be dismayed by the diner-like interior or the paper plates that are provided.

The staff are also super friendly, making us feel right at home as they provided suggestions and took time to TRULY check-in. We really appreciate how engaging they were, even the owner!

They also offer complementary tea!

We went to eat at Fresh Afghani Fish about a month ago, and it was super good. The fish was well done, the service was great, and everything was perfect. I gave them five stars at that time.

Today with my friend and I went back for dinner and ordered two pounds of Afghani fish. Unfortunately, the taste was different from before. It wasn’t seasoned well and didn’t taste as good as we expected.
The restaurant is clean and nice. The fish is a little expensive per pound, but I’m not complaining about the price. I just wish the quality and taste were the same as our first visit.
Overall, I would give it three stars this time. Maybe I’ll go back one more time in the future and see if it improves. I hope the owner makes some changes and continues to serve the best quality food.
