Good seasoning and solid flavor overall. Prices are fair, though $6 for a side of 6 plantains is crazy. My only real issue is with the curry chicken — I’ve had it undercooked more than once. I like this place and would 10/10 recommend if they would just cook the chicken thoroughly.

I’ve been a pescatarian for years, and haven’t had Caribbean food since 2019. Now that I’m pregnant I’m no longer pescatarian and I finally got to try food from here and it was Absolutely amazing! I got the jerk chicken, jerk rice & plantains and my husband got the oxtails. The flavor profile of the chicken was so good. It was savory, smoky and spicy and more importantly tender! The oxtails were also savory and fell off the bone but had a different flavor profile with like a hint of cinnamon maybe? My favorite side was the rice. Ugh as a type I wish I had another plate.

I visited Spice It Up Caribbean Fusion on 30th September 2025 around 8 PM with three friends after hearing good things, but the experience was extremely disappointing.

The service was the rudest I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. When it was my turn to order, no one explained how the system worked — I was just asked what I wanted. I asked for rice and peas with curry chicken, and after the container was already partly filled, I asked for some stew pork. The staff member huffed and told me, “Next time do that from the beginning.” When I explained that I wasn’t from here and didn’t know their system, he accused me of lying and continued speaking to me in a very disrespectful way.

The food itself was also poor — everything was far too salty and not enjoyable at all.

Overall, a terrible experience in both customer service and food quality. Definitely not worth the hype.

I went in the late afternoon 02/05/26
I greeted the woman at the counter. Then I asked her how much was the oxtail and she didn’t answer but put some oxtail in the styrofoam plate and asked me what other foods I wanted. She gave one serving of rice from the scoop and Mac and cheese and not much else for over $36. I decided to take it all gracefully and didn’t leave a tip.
I thought it was very rude to put food in a plate and not tell me the price when I asked. Especially since your restaurant did not have a price listed for the oxtail.
This restaurant won’t last because they serve overly salted food and the flavor is not the best.
Sometimes I like to support businesses in the community but not when servers have a nasty attitude as if they’re doing me a favor.
I’ll cook my own Jamaican food at home the way I know to cook because it’s way better than (Spice it Up)

The service given was horribly rude. The lady the literally stop in the process of making my boyfriend plate and went to fix another customers order and act as if she did not have the patience for him to choose his food. Then when we finished the purchase of the food she threw our food on the counter top and turned away so quick from counter top and started talking on the phone.
Not to mention she was gone in the back before we was gone out the door.

The food is not real food. From the curry chicken stew chicken and stew beef ( Food to salty) and you ONLY get one potato in your stew beef and curry chicken.
Mac and cheese was ok.

Just stopped in for the first time and we were greeted warmly by the young man serving. He gave us suggestions and was patient and kind while we figured out what we wanted. Very happy that it was somewhat like a « buffet style » in the sense that the food was already cooked and ready to be served. That was particularly helpful as we are on a long roadtrip and needed to be in and out. We ordered the chicken curry, goat curry and brown stew chicken. Flavor bombs! Very, very happy with our choices and very filled as well. I got cabbage and plantains on the side and those were satisfying as well. If you want roti, be sure to call ahead! So glad we decided to try this place and will definitely stop by again the next time we pass through town. Thumbs up for us!

If you’re craving amazing Caribbean food, Spice It Up is the place to go! The flavors are bold, authentic, and everything tastes homemade. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned, and the sides were just as good—especially the rice and peas. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. You can really tell they put love into the food. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something delicious and different!

Im gonna give it to you straight. This place is absolutely amazing. Of the couple carribbean spots I’ve tried in Norcross, this place takes the cake by far and away. I have gotten the Island Chicken each time, which has been phenomenal with the perfect level of spice.
You got to stop by this place

THIS IS MY ABSOLUTE favorite Caribbean spot in all of the Americas. I’ve been extensively through Caribbean for work. I spent 8 months all over Jamaica alone. I have to say this place is the Pinnacle. I don’t know how,but nothing is touching their consistency and taste. Get the Jerk Chicken Philly on Coco bread and see for your self. The wings are the best in Atlanta as well. If this place were in Midtown it would definitely be on the Michelin guide. I stand on this.

I don’t know what Caribbean person was cooking but this was not it. The curry goat was tender but way too salty and the cabbage was too sweet. The oxtail was tough and had no flavor. As for spice none I didn’t taste not a lack of scotch bonnet
