I tried one of the weekend specials and ordered the grilled fish platter, the taste was fantastic.Customer service was also great. I do recommend Spice Island Grill.

I ordered jerk chicken with plantains & cabbage. I added a side of jollof rice with jerk sauce on top. I had multiple errands to run before going home to eat. Once I was to warm up the food, there was an awful smell. The sauce was scorched. This means that the sauce was previously burned and b/c of the bottom of the pot, there was an overwhelming metal smell and taste. I have a culinary background so I picked up on this right away. $31 wasted. Plantains and cabbage were okay, juices from jerk sauce leaked. Jerk sauce was incredibly spicy and lacked flavor. I was visiting a friend in the area but safe to say this won’t be a stop for the next time I visit.

Food was 100/10. We had jerk chicken with plantain and cheesesteak sandwiches. Everything was flavorful, staff were kind and friendly, food came out fast. It was our first time ordering from this restaurant-overall the place is clean and sanitary. Definitely going back soon.
