What a find! The freshest Indian Food in all of Arlington! Maybe even the freshest food in Arlington. The herbs and spices in the curries were amazing. And you can get them as spicy as you want them. The owner/cook takes great pride in his food. It’s in an old barbeque place, so the decor and the food don’t exactly go hand in hand…but just close your eyes and you’re far far away from the strip shopping center and the hand-me-down decor. Besides…you don’t go to eat the wall paper, now do you? NO! You go to eat the food and you’ll go back and back to eat this food.

My boyfriend and I are novice foodies so we like trying new places. We also really like Indian food. We have a number of friends from India that like to cook so we’ve had authentic, home cooked dishes on numerous occasions. That being said, this was really good, authentic food. We stopped by at lunch time yesterday and decided to go for the buffet. It was all you can eat for $8.99 (drink not included). The buffet had two kinds of rice, 3 chicken dishes, 4 vegetarian dishes, naan, a dessert, relishes, and salad. The buffet is chaffing dishes on long folding tables so the dishes were not piping hot but we weren’t concerned bc it was obvious that the food was fresh (i.e. not sitting out for hours). We tried everything but the dessert (too full!) and it was all delicious.
– The place was VERY clean (this is a big deal to me)
– The staff is VERY nice (it’s a mom/pop business and I love that – one of the owners was out checking chaffing dishes, cleaning buffet, and making recommendations about food)
– The pricing is good (we paid $22 (incl. tax) for two buffets ($9/ea) and soft drinks)
– The plates for the buffet are HUGE and accommodate sauces with high sides (hate tiny, cheap plates on a buffet)
– The location used to be a BBQ place so it looks like a BBQ place. It’s not fancy (booths, walk up counter to order, serve yourself beverage machine, plastic cups) so don’t come expecting candlelit dinner experience.
– They have lots of flat screens TVs
– As of now, they serve two kinds of beer (bottled, domestic)
– Ask for a take home menu b/c it has coupons!

Hope this helps! Definitely go visit them. The tandoori chicken (Indian hot wings) and butter chicken is very good! This is our new go-to Indian food place in Arlington!

Spice India is among the BEST indian restaurant I have been to in Texas. The Naan was perfect- just the right thickness and crunch. We ordered Vegetable Pakoras, Samosas, Aloo Paratha, and regular Naan. The samosas were >AWESOME< and the vegetable pakoras were scrumptious, as well. The family that owns India Spice was extremely welcoming and sweet. They accommodated to our vegan diet and the prices were great! Epic food, wonderful service, and stellar prices. I will definitely be back!

In one word: Excellent. This gem is everything we expect from a family run restaurant: great food, friendly service and reasonable pricing. If you love Indian food, or even like it, this is a place to go. The menu choices are plenty, with options of a lunch buffet as well as “thali” (platter) in the evenings. We’re repeat customers. Highly recommend.

Ill start by saying that Im a pakistani so Ive had extensive experience in the cuisine. The food was very comparable to other indian/pakistani restaurants in the area with one exception, the kabobs, and chicken tikka was absolutely the best I’ve ever had!
I tried the currys and they were very well made, as well as the naan which were tandoor fresh, but the chicken and kebabs was the greatest dish by far. A MUST try restaurant and the best in the Arlington area.

Food is okay but price is too much in regular menu except the buffet. Location seems in nice place. However, Irving is like 20 mins away from Arlington. Over there they got tons of better Indian restaurants and cafe with better price.
