Spice Hut Indian restaurant is established in 2013 by Indian chef owner and is well known all over the Cyprus by local and tourist. Under his name is standing proved traditional Indian taste and quality service. The restaurant ambient is modern with touch of Indian decoration. All our dishes are settled from long time and prepared at very same time with all fresh ingredients in combination with local Cypriot drinks. First time to paphos, wasn’t expecting an Indian restaurant with excellent service and food! We hadn’t booked but we were seated straight away.
Staff were friendly. Ordered our drinks, hubby had a local beer and I ordered salty lassi which was refreshing. Starters and mains were awesome, ordered onion bhaji which were freshly cooked and aloo takki. For mains, we ordered saag paneer, daal, rice and omg the food was awesome! Must a visit if you are in paphos.

Went to dinner here with my mom, first time Paphos. We sat down, received a menu and after two minutes a waiter already came to the table to get our order. Excuse me but this is our first time, can we please take our time to scan the menu? She seemed annoyed when we asked for more time. The naan bread I got was burned so the taste unfortunately was off. The soup and rice were nice. Also how do you serve dinner without napkins? There were no napkins in sight. But when she came to serve the table next to us, they got a whole basket of napkins?
After dinner they did not make an effort to properly clean the table. We had a lot of food left so we asked if we could take it away. The same waiter that arrived after two minutes came and dropped bags and containers on the dirty table, she was very rude. When I went over to pay I forgot the digits so I was standing there, thinking. Because the same waiter was impatient she was like “YOUR PINCODE MADAM”. I thought to myself I know the drill can you calm down?

Late dinner on a Monday, the place was mostly empty. The food was great, especially the tandoori chicken, the Kashmiri lamb and the spinach paneer. The garlic naan and the kulfi for dessert were also great. Recommended!

Spice Hut’s food is definitely a highlight, with dishes like the chicken Karahi being a standout for me and the nan breads being really good.
However, the service was just OK – the staff seemed a bit dull and weren’t very welcoming. With a bit more enthusiasm and friendliness from the team, I’d definitely be back for more. Hopefully, they’ll work on that aspect to match the quality of their food.

A very disappointing experience indeed! A Friday evening and the place was very quiet. Our daughter enjoyed her chicken tikka masala but our chicken pathia and vindaloo were far from the standard we’re used to. However, our greatest criticism is for the extremely unfriendly staff, who didn’t interact or make us feel welcome at all. Definitely not a restaurant we’ll be returning to and will go to the friendlier and more atmospheric curry houses in the town centre in future.

There was a male member of staff who was openly shouting at the 2 female workers and was clearly making them embarrassed and uncomfortable. watching this made us both uncomfortable as this was completely unprofessional.
