I have traveled around the world and I am picky about the Indian places. I prefer. This place ranks as tied for my top two. The portion sizes are decent, but the flavor is amazing. The chicken is surprisingly tender. And the service is excellent. I’m not sure I even want to try another Indian restaurant in the San Antonio area. I really appreciate that they’re spicy is extremely spicy. I chose the spicy level number four and it was pushing my limits. The only thing that could have made this better was if I brought friends along to share the food and if they played either some Bollywood films or had music playing. If you find a better restaurant in the San Antonio area, do let me know.

The food was incredible, very tasty and the service was amazing. I was seated very quickly and the waiter was attentive and has great recommendations from the menu. The portion sizes are more than reasonable and you’ll have enough for 2 meals!

Life is precious, and I like collecting new experiences. But today, I had one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. I went to Spice Fine Indian Cuisine for their buffet. The food looked good from the outside — nice colors and nice presentation.

I started with the chicken mushroom fry. When I took my first bite, I could taste raw chicken, like it was not fully cooked. It felt like I was eating some fancy French dish by mistake, maybe they should rename it Chicken Fricassée instead of chicken mushroom fry.

The potatoes were just boiled – no masala, no flavor, just pure potato vibes. The sambar looked like rasam, and the dal looked like sambar. I think even the dishes were confused about who they really are.

Then I went to the pani puri stall. The pani tasted like tamarind water with extra foam on top. After eating it, I felt like sitting quietly and thinking about my life.

My friend had payasam, and after trying it, he got neersam.

But the best part of the whole experience was the washroom. There was a giant stool kept right in front of the commode. After eating the buffet, it felt like the perfect place to dive into the commode and enjoy a full swimming experience with the food memories.

Maybe the names of the dishes should be shuffled, because I was totally confused by everything.

I wanted to give a 1-star rating……..but because of the amazing stool in front of the commode, I am giving 3 stars. It was really nice to dive in the commode after having food in this restaurant. Please go and experience this amazing world-mix cuisine. Today, I had a wonderful experience in my life. I feel like I completed one of the toughest phases of my journey. Please do visit the restaurant.

Quantity wise it’s huge and you can choose spice level which is good. We order Apollo Fish , Gopi manchurian which i felt they used the same sauce didn’t felt any taste difference. Quantity is also big as the price (12-14$ each). We also ordered a Chicken fried rice and a egg Briyani for 2ppl. When we saw the fried rice it was too much a person and ended up sharing because of the big size appetisers, took the egg briyani as to go. Pricey place. Lot of food will go waste or you need to pack them to go. So plan before you order.

The food was average overall. Some dishes, like the mutton biryani and chicken tikka masala, didn’t meet expectations, though the shrimp fried rice was quite good. Starters were decent. The place feels a bit pricey for the quality offered—a mixed experience.

Spicy – Authentic Indian Cuisine That Lives Up to Its Name

We recently tried Spicy and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich, authentic, and made fresh to order based on your preferred heat level (from 1 to 5). I ordered the chicken curry at a level 3, and my boyfriend had the goat saag at a level 2. Even though his was a “milder” option, it still packed quite a punch for him! I managed to finish mine, but in hindsight, a level 2 might have been perfect for me too.

The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I also love that they offer a lunch buffet (though it was closed by the time we arrived), which we’ll definitely have to come back and try.

Overall, Spicy is a gem for anyone craving authentic Indian food with customizable heat levels. We will definitely be returning!

After eating here, I’m shocked this place has such a high rating. I’ve heard people recommend this place for years and finally tried it to my great disappointment. Pricing is expensive for meager portion sizes. The small container of rice for the tikka masala wasn’t anywhere near full for $18. You get 2 normal size samosas for over $8. On top of that flavor was not to my liking. Unfortunately this place doesn’t live up to the hype others gave it. It only gets two stars instead of one because it was edible. I won’t be going here again, as there are plenty of other Indian restaurants around with a lot better food and pricing.
