We tried this restaurant purely because it had a 4.9 rating on Google and we were standing in Silverdale like, “okay… what do we eat?”
So we took the risk. And here’s my honest opinion ⬇️
IT. WAS. SUPER. SUPER. DELICIOUS.
– The biryani → insanely tasty, and the portion?? Massive. Come hungry.
– The butter chicken → when the chicken was already gone, I was still sipping the sauce like it was soup. Zero shame.
– The naan → HUGE and soooo fluffy. Dip it in the butter sauce and… yeah, life makes sense again.
– And last but NOT least: the customer service.
Everyone in the reviews talked about it and they were right. The waitress was incredibly kind, started conversations (even with my kids), made us feel welcome even though we were new, and kept updating us on our order time. That alone already won my heart.
So please… open one in Auckland City
Or honestly, I’m open to a collaboration with you. You guys have so much potential really!
Highly, highly recommend this place. You HAVE to try it.

Absolutely outstanding Indian food and service. Every dish was full of flavour and obviously made fresh. The curries were rich without being oily, the meat was tender, and the naan was soft and perfectly cooked. Staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely cared that we were happy with everything. Portion sizes were generous and great value. Easily one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in a long time — highly recommend.

The best Indian restaurant in New Zealand!
My wife and I ordered the lamb Rogan josh and the tikka masala, along with garlic naan and a mango lassi for a drink. Everything was incredibly delicious and at the right amount of spicy. The mango lassi was superb and balanced the spicy perfectly. The staff was super friendly, kind and helpful for recommendations. Will definitely come back whenever I’m near Auckland and recommend this to all of my friends.

I went here for lunch and the food was excellent. I had Kadai Chicken and garlic naan, I recommend both. The chefs here really know how to make authentic Indian food. The service and surroundings were great. I will be coming back.

We had the most wonderful experience at Spice Avenue Indian Restaurant in Silverdale. It’s a lovely little place with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The dishes are absolutely divine, and their naan bread is a must-have — fresh, fluffy, and delicious.
We were celebrating my mother’s 92nd birthday, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make it special. We even managed to sneak in a birthday cake, and the team were more than happy to help us surprise her. They presented the red velvet cake, played Happy Birthday, and made a real fuss of her, which made her feel incredibly special
Their kindness and genuine care turned the evening into a beautiful, unforgettable memory. Thank you to everyone at Spice Avenue — we’ll definitely be back!

Out of all the Indian restaurants in the area, this by far has the best customer service. For me, this is a huge factor given today’s service levels!
The staff were incredibly polite, pleasant, attentive, and really nailed the basics. They even went the extra mile by offering complimentary poppadoms and water while I waited for my takeaway.
The food was equally excellent and absolutely delicious! Hats off to the chef.
I will absolutely be recommending Spice Avenue to others and will definitely be a returning customer.

It was the best curry we’ve had in NZ! It was authentic and delicious. The service was outstanding. The server made sure our curries were the right level of heat and checked up on us.
