We offer the best of our Italian grapes biodiversity. Our cuisine is Italian, inspired by authentic and traditional recipes made with the most genuine ingredients from small producers who cultivate their produce in a sustainable way. POP , is the inspiration from East Village neighborhood that stands for POPolare in Italian. Spēs means HOPE in Latin, no better name could have picked as the idea of our new little gem in East Village started during tough COVID-19 times. We all needed hope, right?

Love this organic wine bar! Came for the wine… stayed for the food. No wine list – just choose your “emotion” and “color” and a wonderful recommendation will be delivered to you. We started with prosciutto and sheep’s cheese. The grilled bread is incredible. We tried the lobster pasta and carbonara, and both were delicious. Erika and Andy amazing – will be back again soon to try the gnocchi!

I had an amazing experience at Spes! The atmosphere was cozy and stylish, and the food was absolutely delicious. But what really made the night special was Erika. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional the entire time.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this restaurant, especially the live music on Wednesday night. It’s cozy and relaxing, and the wine selection is great! I liked the food overall, though my pasta was a bit overcooked. Still, I’d recommend this place — it’s a solid option for a weekday dinner!

My partner and I love Spes! It’s our favorite spot for authentic Italian, and is great for date night or just a nightcap! We love Erika, Andy and Nate, and they are all very knowledgeable about the wine and always give amazing service! Yes, it can get a bit pricey, but you can’t beat the quality and the unique wine selection they have here. Cannot recommend enough!

Have been dying to try this place & so happy we finally did! Beautiful little place, super authentic Italian with quality natural wines. Sat outside so not sure about the inside vibe but the outside was perfect for a warm spring day! I love the fun way you choose a wine, the staff was so helpful too and gave amazing suggestions. The food was also INCREDIBLE!!! Octopus, lamb ragu, truffle pasta & crab gnocchi all insanely good. Coming back ASAP!
