Excellent and friendly service. The young man who served us today was very patient and kind. Food was tasty and the kids could not have enough of the grilled fish and delicious chips!!! We also noticed a board of paid forward meals for anyone who might walk in there hungry and without some money. What an awesome way to serve the community around you, thank also to all the people who have paid these meals forward, the world needs more of this!!!

Have been enjoying food from Spencer Seafood for a couple of years now but the last few times I have been there they have really dropped the ball tonight for the first time we ordered on a Monday night. The Monday night special 2 fish and chips $12
Sounded awesome so we ordered. This was probably the first time we didn’t leave a tip the fish was over cooked and i dry dry dry really it was like fish jurkey with burnt crumbs and the chips where very average. The prices have more than doubled from early last year and the food has gone down hill so sad.

Lovely staff, tasty food and good atmosphere. It’s also a really nice touch that they have community paid orders to help those who are struggling in need. I highly recommend the fish of the day with chips. Portions are reasonable and just what you’d expect.

Spencer’s Seafood is a good Fish and Chip shop located on the corner of Goodman Close & Hinkler Drive in Highland Park.
Has ample shaded outdoor seating.
Spencer’s Seafood has a good menu selection of Seafood and Burgers .
Friendly & helpful service.
Had the Seafood Basket for 1.
The presentation and quantity were very good.
Had a good assortment of Seafood Delicacies.
The fish piece in the basket was quite large.
But, I’m Pretty Sure that it was Basa. Which is amongst my Least favourite fish.
Everything else in the Seafood Basket was Fabulous and the serving size was generous.

Very disappointing result, one piece of dory grilled and piece of dory crumbed, both pieces lucky to be 4 inches long, with the grilled piece soaked in oil (nearly fell through the paper bag, even though boxed) with ordinary taste and the crumbed piece l had very strong & ordinary taste, we don’t have a problem with spending for quality but nearly $40 for ordinary quality ☹️ Hi again I should have clarified with a minimum chips & the two pieces of dory, I checked our bank statement for a total of $35.50 so the best part of $40, not a concern too us if the quality & taste is there (nothing wrong with our taste buds either) we certainly wasn’t asked to choose our fish other than asked what we wanted to order and thats ok with us, it wasn’t delivered either considering your comment about it possibly being delivered by Raj? Even a lengthy delivery wouldn’t have caused the taste it had. Just to clarify the grilled piece being cooked as you said in garlic butter was on grease proof paper in a cardboard tray and in a paper bag, sorry I didn’t take photos but the butter went through all including the carry paper bag. Please on your advice & thankyou in regards to our potential relationship we have been looking for new local after highland park seafood closed and found it today at Mudgeeraba thanks Rob

I can tell you we just found it!
This place has the ratings and the food to back it up, yes well worth it, and their attention to detail in presentation, even in cardboard boxes, fantastic! $50 pack plus a handful of extra potato scallops, and extra piece of flat head crumbed! The Chips were nice and tasty (add your own salt), even tried the pineapple fritters, lovely!

Fantastic little fish&chip shop run by some great friendly people. The specials are super cheap compared to anywhere else in nerang. Spencer’s also do amazing huge delicious burgers as well! Do yourself a favour and get down there and grab yourself a bargain! Highly recommend. Support local. (This fish and chips is only $6 on a monday)

Great little corner fishing and chips store tugged away by the side street to M1. Kinda odd to see the only food store along this stretch of the roads, but they are there. I had a burger with the lot with Scotch Fillet. It was cooked well. Flavoursome but light on the taste buds. It was packed good in a paper wrap then in the burger box. I’d personally would have forego the box and just have it with the wrap. Anyhow, it’s worth the $15 price tags. The store is clean and the fish looks fresh at least it was NOT presented watery in the stainless trays. I would probably give 4.6 so 5 is the closest score I can put down.

My family loves eating from Spencer’s. The food is nice and we’re never left hungry with the portion sizes. Love how active they are in the community helping people who might need a free meal as well as just really awesome specials every week to make a takeout dinner cost so much less. Thanks for all you do!
