Food – 5/5 – I ordered a steak which was absolutely delicious. Pizza also looked delicious. They offer specials which change.
Service – 4/5 – Service was super friendly. Owner comes around and reads the specials to you. Unfortunately on my visit they were superrrr slow. It was busy, but definately could have used an extra server or two.
Atmosphere – It gives cozy Italian vibes. A bit dated, but typically these types of places offer the best food.
Overall – 5/5 – I really enjoyed my visit to Speekezzies, and hope to bring friends and family to try them again. If you are looking for a great Italian mom and pop shop, check out Speekezzies.

Highly recommend the lamb it was perfectly seasoned and slight char on the bones! Pasta primavera was also very good. I had the pasta with the barramundi which could have benefited with a hot pan sear to get a crisp skin for such a thin fillet but still very tasty. The service this was excellent. Definitely will return.

Excellent experience in general. Great atmosphere, warm service, high quality ingredients, delicious food, outstanding wine selection. This place is great for a romantic dinner, or share with friends and family, and to grab a bite just for yourself. There’s great options to choose from. I do recommend Speekezzies and I’ll be back for sure many times. A new favorite in Brantford. Give it a try! The only risk is wanting to go back every week!

I celebrated my husband’s birthday at Soeekezzis Café, and we were very well taken care of. The food was excellent, especially the dish of the day — a meat dish with Alfredo sauce that my husband ordered. The flavors were very well balanced.
The service was impeccable, although the dishes took a little while to arrive. It is a more upscale restaurant, ideal for special occasions. I definitely recommend the experience.

My husband and I were in town for the weekend and decided to go to Speekezzies. I have to say, this place is a beautiful little hidden Gem!!! Delicious Italian restaurant with fantastic service and atmosphere. Anthony and Heather both waited on us, the owners, and they were such nice people. We are a little chatty lol , hopefully we didn’t put them behind. The place was very busy, and they let us in even though we didn’t have a reservation, which we truly appreciate. Definitely recommend and will go back if we’re on the area again. The meatballs were The BEST MEATBALLS I’ve personally ever had, and the Baramunda and pastas both wonderful

We are fairly new to Brantford and had heard many good things about Speekezzies. We finally were able to get there last night and wow! Such an unassuming restaurant from the outside, however, from the moment we went inside, from being greeted right through the entire dinner experience – it was all top notch. I failed to take pictures , however every meal was delicious and came hot ! We were a party of four and nobody had any complaints about any of the food. Wonderful extra touch for “Anthony” the chef to bring our dinners and take the time to follow up .
Outstanding service and really wonderful food . The restaurant itself is somewhat dated in places, however the atmosphere/mood more than made up for it . We will definitely be back to enjoy.

We went here for dinner. The staff are great and seemed to be genuinely happy, the food was excellent and full of flavor, and the atmosphere was good with some legit music playing not-to-loud in the background. Even the other diners were a cut above other places and were talking to each other instead of staring at phones. Reasonable prices too. It looks much nicer on the inside than the outside which fits the name. No chain-restaurant feel at all. It’s not a place you go if you’re in a hurry or want “kids eat free” or want to see a tv screen while you eat. I’ll definitely return.

Cozy Italian restaurant with some good food and attentive service. Anthony shares a great passion for food and you can feel it in the way he talks about the daily specials. Vanessa took good care of us, their wine selection was good and the bruschetta, their classic pizza, and old school penne were done right! Will be back to try the rack of Australian lamb, calamari, and the Striploin!!

With that pedantic statement out of the way, Speekezzies really impressed this Jersey-boy here in Ontario where I’m not typically impressed.
The salad was absolutely flawless. The lamb chops served over pasta with mushrooms and a balsamic reduction was really innovative, intriguing, delicious, and wonderfully copious.
Please don’t miss this place.
