Everything was super hot except for the meat that came in the mac and cheese and the brisket that came in the pick 3. The mac and cheese was so hot within minutes. But the macaroni and cheese meal was good in all. I’d recommend trying.

I will most certainly not be ordering from here again. The customer service, food quality and food portions are all poor. The only thing I enjoyed from my order were the candied yams. I expected better quality food and service, seeing as this restaurant is black-owned and has been in business for quite some time. However, I was wrong.

I was skeptical but decided to give this restaurant one more try since it has been quite a number of years since my last visit. I did not like that I had to pay quite a bit for a small cup of barbecue sauce for my fries because they do not put the sauce on the fries upon request, & the fries look like they were cooked in old grease & many were like little leftover pieces, & the prices are extremely high, look at the pictures, THIS is what I paid around $25 for…….

I ordered food through Uber eats and I didn’t like it at all. First of all the only sides you can order are baked beans, cole slaw or potato salad unless you pay for the big container which is about $18!! The baked beans were the only thing was good and I only got a very small portion!! The tips were hard and fatty and the shoulder was dry with very little sauce. I was very disappointed, cause I spent over $50 for a meal and I was not happy!!!

I ordered the pick 3 with baked beans as an extra side. The portions are pretty small (baked beans and rib tips) sweet potatoes were dry. Rib tips were chewy. The best thing was the macaroni and sweet cornbread. My friend ordered the same thing and his plate was lighter than mine. They’re not the same.

There were 2 of us. We both ordered Queens 3 pick.
My meat was rib tips. I got 8 tips and you can see in the photo that the amount of fat was equal to 4 rib tips. The sweet cornbread was Jiffy Mix stretched with white cornmeal. Not only not sweet not cornbread, gross. The black eye peas were salty and no flavor. The greens had no flavor.
The other dinner was a very large portion of ribs. Same not good sweet cornbread. Yams ok and collard greens ok.
I’m done with Speed Queen and it hurts to say this.
Maybe trim the fat on the meat…get a quality meat supplier.
It was good to remember back in the day when y’all were on point….never missing the mark of quality, quantity and repeat business. Now we hit you up hoping for the best and sadly disappointed. Nah nah nah nah hay hay hay GOODBYE!!

Ordered half tips, half shoulder. Both meats were fatty, & if I wasn’t at work, I’ll take it back up there and throw it in their faces. Since y’all want ppl to bring their food back. NO PROBLEM! See ya when I get off Fri da 13th & 8:20p wit this food. SMDH. Before y’all upgraded and went digital, the food has been going down hill. Bring the “Welcome to Speed Queen, Best in the Midwest, where we take cash only” BACK! or spend money & pay for a decent vendor! Pissed me off tonight!

This place has went downhill. I have a nasty after taste in my mouth. I usually order fries with my dinners and was disappointed to see the sizes of the sides. My beans and potatoe salad was in a small to-go condiment container. My finance’s meal was nothing but fat and the skin that’s on the ribs before you cook them you take it off when you clean them but the skin was left on the ribs. They went up on the prices and the food portion and quality went down. I’ve been going to this place for 20 something years and whatever changes they call themselves making made you loose 2 customers and is going to cost you a lot more.

Well, Been living in Orlando past 25 years and every trip home I swing by for what used to be a treat! Now its gone down hill so bad im afraid i have to cross it off my list. I have not yet been to Tony’s but its on my list now! I had been coming to Speed Queen for over 30 years! No more….. everything comes to an end and i think Speed Queen has reached that point! I know its hard to face reality sometimes but they changed the game here and most people arent happy. The price is just to overpriced for not only the portions but the quality. Save your money and eat someplace else. It was nice run while it lasted but your days are limited.
