American menu served at an unfussy establishment that features a lounge area & music venue.

Went there on a recommendation from a local, as we were just visiting. We had to go thru the bar area to get to dining room, no bigger, but the outside entrance to the dining room was just a black door and we didn’t know it was the dining room door. We were seated promptly by Eric. He took our drink order and brought those along with a small charcuterie plate. Nice touch. I had wine and hubby had a Manhattan. He wasn’t impressed with the Manhattan. Our food order was taken….the steaks looked good, but it turns out I got the medium rare and hubby got the medium well. My sirloin was rather tough. Hubby’s was dry.

2/14/26 is the date we visited. We expected it to be busy and to have wait times. We arrived at 430, we had somewhere to be between 6-630. Plenty of time. We made a reservation which didn’t mean anything. We were at the restaurant from 430pm to 745 pm. …waiting …I understand not wanting to hire extra staff for one day but a host would’ve helped them tremendously. They knew there would be long waits so everyone got a small veggie plate ….everyone except for us. We had to ask for a bread basket after watching others get there’s. The side salad was 4 bites of lettuce and a slice of tomato. After waiting so long you would assume that the food was perfect…..our steaks looked boiled, not cooked to our desired temperature and his steak fries were raw… raw potatoes dunked in oil for 30 seconds….RAW! With what they charge you’d think it would’ve been a nicer establishment…don’t assume that either. Applebees wouldve been better and we wouldve made it to our fun event. Save your time, save your money, save your stomach.

My husband and I came to Speckled Perch for our 5th anniversary and were disappointed. We weren’t greeted for the first 15 minutes, and during that time I noticed heavy dust on the outlet by the hostess stand, artwork, walls, and trim, which gave a neglected impression.
Drinks were underwhelming — my husband ordered a top-shelf scotch but was initially brought Wild Turkey. Dewar’s ended up being the best they had. My margarita was just okay. My ribeye was undercooked and his T-bone was average, the French onion soup was meh, the garlic butter potatoes were bad, overly buttery, and salty.
Our waitress was kind and attentive; this isn’t a reflection of her service. Overall, it wasn’t the special anniversary dinner we had hoped for.

If you like waiting 2+ hours for food this happens a lot! If you like wilted, brown, freezer burned salad, this is your place. There are holes in the walls, dirtiness everywhere and the relish plate had limp carrots, limp sliced radishes and stringing celery. The steak my husband got was so overcooked he couldn’t eat it! Overall experience was horrible. The waiter stated the manager was not there (a common response) and that we could call the restaurant between 3-4 pm to speak to the manager. However, no one answers because the restaurant is closed! No resolution. We won’t be back! And I wouldn’t recommend this place! Go to Golden Corral!

We have always wanted to try this place. I will say the prices were around $10.00 more per meal than the menu that is posted on Facebook. They brought us a veggie plate and rolls for the table. They were good. We started out with salads. One of us asked for no tomatoes. So, she received just lettuce only??? The other two salads were just lettuce and tomatoes. I did find one sliver of carrot, but that was it. We were very disappointed with the salads. The table behind us, also ordered salads, but they must have known to ask for croutons, cheese and crackers. We will know next time. lol.
Now, the steaks and baked potatoes were top notch. Steaks were tender and cooked perfectly The baked potatoes were fluffy and fresh. I must say that I have not had a steak that good in a long time. If the salad had been better, this review would have been 5 stars. We will definitely return again.

Took us a sec to find the entrance but I LOVED this place. Steaks were amazing. Not a fan of the dill bread but it was good just not my flavor. All the staff we interacted with were so nice and polite. Will definitely be back.

The Specked Perch is our go-to for a steak dinner in Okeechobee, Florida. A small unassuming exterior leads to a quaint dining room with a cozy family feel. We always opt for the steak tidbits but the menu boasts many different cuts of steak cooked the way you like it. Over the years they have had some inconsistencies with cooks but lately they are spot on. It’s well worth the drive from Palm Beach or Martin Counties for a great steak dinner that doesn’t break the bank! If you can get Alex as your server he is the BEST!!!!

Party of 10 at 4:30 waited over 2 1/2 hours to be served what was a grossly overcooked steak. While we watched party after party that arrived after us being served. Was told there was no manager on duty. The little garnish plate was limp carrots and celery. The dinner salad was old and brown. The place is nasty, filthy. Golden Corral can prepare a better peace of meat than this so called steak house.

Nice laid back establishment. However I was very disappointed to have ordered a filet mignon and it was not edible. I ordered it medium and it came out Rare 3 times. I was not offered to have it removed from my bill or even have it exchanged for something else. At that point I just told them to box it up. Which I took home to feed the dogs. . It was too thick of a meat to have cooked . For those reasons are my ratings.

Horrible experience. I guess the managers son was our waiter.. every table that came in after us got served before us.. the person that paid brought us out tor a nice dinner never got her soup or dinner & all of us received our food and done before she even got served .. sometimes mixing business with family isn’t the best choice.. your son needs to take some classes on public service and learn to speak louder before waiting tables or your business will fail over time.. maybe keep him/her as a host / hostess in the meantime..
