First visit, cute & cozy, I ordered the chicken basket and a slice of cherry pie. It was all good and satisfying. The sodas are sweet. I prefer carbonated over sweet. The service was impeccable. Ill be back theres other entrees I want to try. Enjoy the pictures.

The breakfast buffet was alright but the decor is a bit dated and gave off a vintage 1970s/1980s vibe, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The biscuit was as hard as a rock to eat but the rest of the food was alright, and it was on par with a typical hotel breakfast quality. The only thing this restaurant wins on is the price of the breakfast buffet. Otherwise, I probably won’t be returning there since it smelled musty inside like a thrift store but in a bad way, and the food was meh.

Their pies are fantastic. So delicious and good. That’s why 5 stars. But otherwise, 1 star at the most. Their food is the opposite of their pies. I bought one baked potato as a $3.15 value side, then had to pay $2 extra to get sour cream, plus $2 more extra to get bacon bits and cheese on it. Worst potato ever in restaurant history. it looked like it had gone bad on the inside, and the outside was burnt deeply several layers down. I’m attaching a picture of the so-called “premium loaded baked potato” which was barely loaded and barely edible.

My first time visiting here and it was so good! The buffet was full of breakfast or lunch choices. The pies… OMG.. so many pies to choose from. I finally settled on blackberry and it was one of the best I’ve ever had.

It took a while to get seated despite no one in front of us. Other than that, the waitress Courtney was nice. Food was great. I ended up spending $15.53 for one adult meal and a kid’s meal-about the same you would spend for fast food, but for higher quality. I’ll definitely come back if I’m in the area.

The pie was great. But waitress had to be flagged by another waitress for us 3 seperate times cause she just wouldn’t come back. Took 35 minutes to just get our order taken while there was only 1 other table with people sat. Then didnt receive our drinks until long after our food.

It is always a pleasure coming here for brunch or dropping by to grab some pies for special occasions, events, or celebrations. I really enjoy the home styled brunch cooking with the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn bread, macaroni and cheese, bread pudding, and all of the different slices of pies you can select from.
The staff is very friendly and always welcoming. The larger the group, the longer the wait time. I would recommend keeping your party size 6 or less to avoid the long wait times.
The holidays are coming up and they sell ready to go Thanksgiving meals to accommodate those that prefer not to cook. I’ll be back soon to grab some pies for these holiday feasts too. There’s so many great options for pies too. I’m like a kid in a candy store, but with pies.

First time dining at Spears this evening. Spaghetti and meatballs. Hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and onion petals. Great meal. Everything was flavorful. Service was great. We will be back!

We hadn’t been here for years. I was in the mood for some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Usually we will go over to Cracker Barrel if we want this dinner, but decided to hit up Spears. Super impressed with the chicken and the mashed potatoes and gravy and okra were excellent. Much cheaper than CB. Support local. Wished I saved room for pie.

Came in today for the breakfast buffet. Much of the spread wasn’t breakfast related food, it was like a country style buffet.
It was apparent that most of the food really seemed like it was made from scratch and I can appreciate that. The chicken breading was no exception and was well seasoned, unfortunately it was overcooked like mucj of the food on the table.
The rest of the food that wasn’t breakfast food felt like kitchen leftovers from the previous nights.
