Casual outpost for burgers, bourbon & craft beer in a tavern setting with TVs tuned to sports.

Visited for both a Bourbon Dinner with Ian Stirsman from MGP and a date night. If you are looking for a Whiskey themed place, then this is your jam. The whiskey list is deep and growing, and the chef prepares the menu with whiskey themed/paired items. The hospitality staff is more than courteous and attentive. On top of that, the team is curating their own Single Barrels which can be sampled and purchased if one speaks to you.
As for the food, well, not a bite was left and that was not because we were overly hungry. We will continue to work our way around the menu as we visit the next time soon.
Looking forward to our next visit.

I stopped in for dinner while I was in town on business. This place brings a lively and friendly warm atmosphere to the dining experience. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the professionalism of my server Liana. She was tremendously helpful, personable, attentive and awesome! She also made great recommendations.
There is a very nice beer and bourbon selection. In addition, the food was good as well.
I will definitely return the next time I am in town.

First time here. Visiting from GA for Navy graduation. Very friendly service, food was good, I had higher expectations flavor wise, but it was good. I would recommend.

My friend got the Apple Bottom burger and I got the Ghostbuster burger, and they were both amazing!! Definitely one of the best burgers I have had in my entire life — recommend getting medium rare! The patties were just ridiculously juicy and tender, and the ghostbuster burger had this jalapeño jelly that added a bit of sweetness; definitely a nice touch! Ghostbuster was so good that I took another to-go and it reheated nicely.
I got the blackberry bourbon lemonade, which I wasn’t a huge fan of. Rather than a cocktail, it tasted like straight bourbon to me. It definitely was quite strong for my liking.
I visited on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy, but we were seated right away with a reservation.
Overall, highly recommend! Bringing my entire family next time I visit.

Came for Lunch on sunday to get a burger while watching football on the many tvs they have with different games showing on the screen. It was nice chill vibes with very good food. The bbq chips were delicious aswell as the smoked wings. Really had the smokey taste to it which was a good appetizer with a side of fried pickles.
Everything we ordered came out well cooked, nice and hot. The server was nice and always ready to get us a refill when needed. Will be going back to try other burgers!

Spears Bourbon Burger Beer is like the ultimate chill spot in Wheeling! I mean, where else can you get divine cheese curds and bone marrow that’s literally TO DIE FOR?! Paired with bright parsley shallot vinaigrette and crispy crostini, it’s foodie heaven! And let’s talk about their bourbon and craft beer game – their rotating selection had us hooked! The tavern vibe’s super comfy, sports on the TVs, and they’ve got late hours plus tons of parking – what’s not to love?! Service is top-notch too, with friendly staff and bartenders who are straight-up phenomenal If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and grab a spot at Spears – you won’t regret it!

Cool little bourbon barrel decorated burger place. Great bison burger- highly recommended! The fish and chips were okay, according to my husband. Less that what most places would serve at that price point, but we’d definitely come back for the burgers.

I had never noticed this restaurant before but my friend suggested it as an easy choice. We sat outside and Beatrice was our server. She was fabulous- super attentive and responsive. I didn’t love my cocktail but told her I would drink it anyway – she took it upon herself to personally remake a (much) better version.
The burgers were cooked to temperature and delicious. We particularly loved the vampire fries – very garlicky!
The valet was also super sweet !

I ordered a classic burger and it came out severely undercooked — not medium, not rare, but flat-out unacceptable to serve. The bun was a soggy mess, completely soaked and falling apart before I could even finish half of it.
The vampire fries were just as disappointing: cold, limp, and soggy, with none of the flavor or texture you’d expect. It tasted like food that had been sitting around, not something made with care.
This is especially frustrating because this place used to be good when it first opened. I’ve been a long-time customer, I live literally across the street, and I genuinely wanted to keep supporting it. Unfortunately, the quality has dropped so badly that it’s almost unrecognizable.
I will not be back. When a fast-food chain consistently produces a better burger than a place branding itself around burgers, that says everything you need to know.
Extremely disappointing. This restaurant has become a complete disaster

The atmosphere the food the staff all just amazing. Great selection of beers on tap and mixed drinks. The bone marrow was phenomenal along with the deviled eggs. The Spears burger topped it all off, amazing rich flavor all the way through. Would definitely recommend.
