Sourdough pizza is having a revival and this place has some flavorful options and cordial staff. The toppings are not as prominent as they are in the pictures (on the tv menu) and there really isn’t any comfortable seating, but you can tell this place thrives on to go orders. It made us nervous that while we were waiting inside we couldn’t actually smell any pizza, but it came out hot (and pretty good) so if you want to eat inside at the benches or the long table, at least you know you won’t leave smelling like garlic bread. Location is not terrible and the prices were a little inflated but it might be worth it to try again.

Huge shout out to the Speak Cheezy team for being the best wedding caterers of all time! ♀️ My wife and I are so grateful to Pete Kormeluk and the crew for their hard work, for being so easy to work with, and for being transparent and reasonable about pricing and logistics. We had so much fun working with Pete to build a custom wedding catering menu featuring a bunch of delicious sourdough pies, meatballs, burrata toast, and salad. Wedding planning is not for the faint of heart but Pete was incredibly clear, easygoing, and encouraging, making him and Speak Cheezy one of our favorite vendors we collaborated with. The day-of operations ran incredibly smoothly and so many of our guests still bring up how great the food was!

We ordered delivery and received someone else’s order. Our names were very similar. Normally we might try to salvage what we received but it was a truly bizarre order (light vegan cheese on both pizzas among other strange topping decisions) and was not really edible. We called and offered to drive the incorrect order back to hopefully swap it out with our order, but we were told no and to try to get a refund through door dash. It was pretty early at the time, not even 8pm yet. I can totally understand how a mistake like this would be made. What I’m disappointed in is that there was no attempt to make this right by remaking our order.

Always trying new places. Hankering for pizza during lunchtime. Went for the half “LBC & half “Margarita pizza. Also tried a slice of a square thick pizza.

Had half and half of truffle shuffle and the carbonara, absolutely amazing and some of the best pizza in California, definitely top in LA county area. Amazing sourdough crust, perfect ratio of ingredients in every slice, the truffle side had a really rich earthy flavor and carbonara side offers a great alternative to the pasta. Wish it was bigger though

This pizzeria is truly exceptional! The combination of fresh, high-quality ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors is unmatched. The sourdough crust is light, airy, and full of character, adding a unique touch to every slice. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave fully satisfied. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. It’s easily one of my favorite spots, and I can’t recommend it enough!

I’ve read the reviews here, and some of them made me smile, so I decided to support one of the best pizzas in Long Beach. People complaining about “burnt edges” should take a trip to Italy and see what authentic pizza looks like—it’s all part of the experience! Speak Cheezy is all about the balance of flavors, and they use just the right amount of cheese to complement the other high-quality ingredients.
Take their LBC pizza, for example—oregano on whipped ricotta cheese. Or the salt flakes on the Brooklyn Bee pizza that add an extra layer of texture.
