My wife and I went here for dinner for our anniversary and were excited to try this cute Italian restaurant. We unfortunately were underwhelmed by the food, except for the Pizza, and for the price point had higher expectations. They gave us a little card recognizing our anniversary, which was nice.

We ordered a drink, the Furbo, the mushroom pizza, the risotto, and a Tiramisu.

The Furbo was nice, the mushroom pizza was delicious (great crust and nice balance), the risotto was overly cheesy and creamy which made it too salty (the shrimp were delicious), and the tiramisu was imbalanced with too much cream vs “cake” (the cream was also very dense – mostly mascarpone)

May come back for happy hour pizza and wine, but will probably skip the mains.

I am so thrilled we have such a high caliber restaurant like Spazio here in our small town of Holly Springs. You won’t find a better lamb chop dish in the state of NC! This family owned and operated boutique restaurant is full of charm, warm and inviting with a touch of sophistication. The menu selections have all been perfected, I have been thoroughly impressed every time we have dined there. Another must try is the Gnocchi in mushroom parmigiana and truffle sauce. With side of their amazing meatballs!!! The truffles and flour are imported and don’t contain the glyphosates and high gluten found in US brands. No tummy bloat:) The veggies and meats mostly organic. My cocktails have been spot on and the wines won’t disappoint! Their desserts are refreshing choices of homemade gelato. I love that the owners are on the floor and the servers are amazing as well; very personable and ensure you have an enjoyable dining experience. I don’t normally give reviews but really wanted to convey how special this place is. Go knowing it’s a smaller space, smaller staff, and chef prepares each dish from scratch and to perfection so plan accordingly. If you’re starved and in a hurry this may not be the place to pop in for a quick meal on the weekend. Book a week or more out as every table is full on Friday and Saturday. During the week much easier to grab a table without a reservation. With all that said, it goes without saying, (but I’ll say it anyway) I highly recommend Spazio’s!!

SPAZIO is an exceptional traditional Roman Hostaria nestled right in the heart of Holly Springs; an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine and wine.

We began with the Pinsa Romana, a Roman-style pizza featuring biologic tomato sauce, creamy burrata, fresh basil, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. It was outstanding; rustic, flavorful, and reminiscent of old-world Italy. A perfect start to the meal.

For the main course, my wife ordered the Porchetta, a crackling-coated pork roast infused with garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and rosemary, served with salsa verde. It was masterfully prepared; crispy on the outside, tender inside, and surprisingly peppery without being overpowering.

I chose the Lasagna, made with homemade pasta, beef and pork Bolognese, béchamel, and Parmigiano Reggiano. It was incredible; rich but not heavy, deeply flavorful, and undoubtedly one of the most authentic takes on lasagna outside of Italy. My wife even tried to trade dishes with me after a single bite!

For dessert, the Tiramisu was fresh, house-made, and delicious; light, creamy, and perfectly balanced. I had the Panna Cotta, also made in-house, which was smooth, subtly sweet, and wonderfully refreshing.

While the restaurant is a bit on the pricier side, it’s absolutely worth every penny. The quality of the ingredients; many of which are imported, shines through in every bite. Spazio Vino & Cucina offers a dining experience that feels like a true Italian escape, right here in North Carolina.

Highly recommended!

Came for our anniversary. We received a warm greeting and anniversary wishes. They even gave us a card. We had the cacio e pepe and carbonara. Both were delicious. Fresh al dente pasta seasoned perfectly.

So much salt. My husband and I tried Spazio for the first time the other night and were really disappointed. The service was good but the food was not. I expected much more for the price. We split the insalata which seemed like it was just mixed greens olive oil and salt, so much salt. I could not eat it. We had the gnocchi and the carbonara for entrees, the gnocchi was very good but rich and the carbonara was disappointing, not a lot of flavor and too salty. We expected a lot more for the price.

A Delightful Culinary Experience at Spazio’s

Years ago, we discovered our “special place” for unforgettable occasions. Sadly, our beloved “John’s” closed down after the owner and chef passed away, leaving us on the hunt for a new favorite. After many years, we finally found Spazio’s in Holly Springs, NC, and it did not disappoint.

We had a truly wonderful time! The ambiance is warm and cozy, and the staff made us feel right at home. We started our meal with the Pane e Olio (bread and oil), which set the stage beautifully. My wife chose the lasagna, while I opted for the porchetta with patate arrosto. And don’t forget the selection of wines!

The food was nothing short of fantastic! We enjoyed it so much that we couldn’t resist ordering dessert to take home. The Tartufo was simply divine. What more can I say? Spazio’s has definitely become our new go-to for those special moments!

What a gem and some of the best Italian available in the area. The chef and his wife are gracious, welcoming and delightful. Do not miss the pizza for an appetizer (perfect crisp and chew crust) and for dinner you must enjoy their take on Lasagna. It is a favorite for me and the Spazio version has luxurious spinach pasta sheets sperating the decadent layers. Somewho is felt lighter than a usual lasagna. Next time I am in town, I will return to this fantastic local restaurant. Go check them out!

We’ve had a lot of pizza in Rome, and while this tries to imitate Roman pizza alla pala, it doesn’t succeed. The crust was overcooked and heavily charred, without the airy texture it should have. Just not good pizza—by either Italian or American standards.

The focaccia (charged extra) was even worse: overbaked, not fresh, and easily the worst I’ve had in either country. My wife took one bite of each and didn’t want more.

Service was off, too. Our server had a strange attitude, and laughed at me when I asked to pour the wine from the decanter back into the bottle to take home. Unprofessional and unnecessary.

At $160 plus tip, it was a bad value. We won’t be back.

Tonight was my first time visiting Spazio after talking about it for quite a while. I sat at the bar, which was lovely, as I caught up on some texts, I enjoyed a perfect cappuccino and tiramisu. What a charming gem tucked in a strip mall, next to a brewery! The dining room as super charming and elegant! Two servers was attentive and friendly. Looks like there is outdoor seating too, lol one the warm weather comes back.
Thanks, will definitely be returning!

Wow we found a gem! The food and service was absolutely spectacular. We planned to go to another place in this parking lot and ended up here and we could not have been more thrilled. Our waiter was so fun and outgoing. The Lasagna was THE BEST!!!
