Went here Sunday before the game for some food. The food was really good. But our server Cheyenne was amazing. She constantly made sure we had everything we needed. Always a smile on her face. She will keep us coming back for sure. Make sure you ask for Cheyanne. I was there with a group of friends it was my 1st time there. But I’ll def drive the hour for great service and food.

Our new to us restaurant this weekend was Spartan Ale House in Aurora.
We ordered Wings and an Italian beef with fries and split them. The Italian beef upon first glance looked underwhelming. We both thought it looked like it was going to be dry and tasteless. But we could not have been more wrong. It was so good. One of the best I have had in a very long time. The juice that came with it had so much flavor, but you didn’t even need it because the beef was already juicy. The fries were crisp but not overdone and had a really good taste to them. We had spicy garlic wings and cajun rub wings. And I do not know which one was better. The spicy garlic did not have so much sauce that it was drenched but it had enough to give it a really good flavor. I generally do not like my wings with the sauce already on them because they always have so much and they’re so messy but that was definitely not the case here. The cajun rub was perfect. Just enough.
Since I am so critical of iced tea I’m also going to mention that the iced tea was really really good. We both would recommend this to other people, I would definitely like to go back, and I would most certainly order that Italian beef again.
I also want to throw in that it was not so loud that we could not carry on a conversation. Sometimes I have a very hard time Hearing in places where there’s a lot of music or background noise and I did not have that problem here. So that was a really nice change from the usual.

Top quality, home-like environment, local variety this place feels like another home. The food is always great and the options here are endless. Customize your own pizza or even a burger, they have wings also and plenty of tv’s for sports. Service is also attentive. Rachel and Eve are amazing!!!

1st visit
Hubby had a craving for a crispy buffalo chicken sandwich. This was the only place that said they handbreaded their chicken so we chose Spartan House. We opted for the sauce on the side to ensure the crispiness of the chicken and we’re not disappointed, came with fries. When my husband was not sure he would like the beer of the day (Space Dust) Alexander brought him a sample to try first. I opted for fish n chips which were light and flakey no greasy feel to it. I chose garlic parmesan fries. I did not realize how much flavoring oil was in them untill I packed my remaining food to go and dumped the fries into my to go box where I quickly pulled out my fish so it would not get soggy due to the flavoring oil at the bottom of my fry bowl. My dish also came with soup of the day which was wild mushroom. Soup had a great flavor and I will be finishing it for lunch today. Alexander gave the best service we have had since things have opened up from covid lockdown. He is a great asset to Spartan House, he was so friendly and helpful when we were trying to decide our options. Thanks for a great meal.

1-18-23 made another visit with a group of students. We were able to be seated for lunch right away which I think is great for a group of 11. Food came out in a timely matter. I ordered the fish n chips which had a great cruch to the batter…but it had an odd “toughness” to the fish which I have never really encountered before. Onion rings and burgers Ruben sandwich that the students ordered were good.
1/19/24 stopped for lunch with another group of students after a field trip. Got seated right away. Food came out in a timely matter had great flavor. They were very careful with our student who has nut allergies. Nothing but good things to say about the food and service. Thanks for being a great dependable place to grab lunch.

Just average. The food was only ok. The highlight was the meatloaf. The mashed potatoes were bland and on the cold side. The chicken was bland and small portions. The cider was good. I am disappointed. The place was also loud with the gaming machines.

I ate at Spartan Ale House for the first time. A friend had recommended it to me. The menu was pretty big and had plenty of options. Ordering was easy. The vegetarian at the table ordered without bacon but the food arrived with bacon. My meal was as ordered. The pulled pork was pretty good. The only thing lacking was a bit of the flavor in the pork and a bit salty in the French onion soup.
