Sparrow is hands down one of my favorite dining experiences! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our server, Sydney, was attentive, upbeat, and made sure our drinks were never empty. Manager Justin even stopped by to check on us, which added such a thoughtful, personal touch.

The food was 10/10 — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. And shoutout to the sweet gentleman with the southern accent — so smiley and polite! The whole experience felt warm, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!!!

We’ve been here twice for lunch and once for dinner. Hopefully they’re just working out some kinks as a newly opened restaurant because so far I’m not really impressed. At the prices they charge, I expect more. The crab cakes were pretty good but the temperature was off and it was drowning in the sauce served with it. The Moroccan meatballs were delicious, the cocktails are very expensive but always beautiful and delicious.

Recently, my husband and I came back for dinner and didn’t have a great experience. We came in early at 5pm and was told by the hostess they could not seat us even though the restaurant was mostly empty at that point. When I asked why they said because they had reservations at 7pm. That’s 2 hours away! I get it if we were a large party but there was only 2 of us. She ended up “Moving some things around” and sat us anyway.

We ordered a cocktail and wine, both were good. I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare and my husband ordered a sashimi hand roll. Apparently they don’t do simple substitutions so I was stuck with buttery mashed potatoes that I couldn’t eat. The expensive filet came out by itself on a cold plate and was cooked more medium well than rare but the flavor was good. My husband’s dinner was a very small piece of sashimi. The presentation, portion sizes and overall experience was unimpressive especially for over $200. Also, we were out of there by 6pm so there really is no need to hold tables like that for future reservations.

So glad to have a unique place like this near us. First timers trying Sparrow since recently opening and it didn’t disappoint. It’s very easy to make an online reservation. We were greeted and seated on the patio right away. Our server was so insightful and friendly, and we were checked on by multiple staff throughout. Love the open concept and the decor and menu is well thought out. The oysters and fish and chips were exceptional. Brussel sprouts were excellent as well. The Wagyu meatballs were our last favorite as they were a little dry but yet still delicious. Drinks were tasty and the suggestions our server made hit the mark. Yes it ia a bit pricey so expect that. We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing dinner at this spot! The Brussels sprouts were perfectly charred and glazed – easily some of the best I’ve had. The beef stroganoff with egg noodles was rich and comforting, topped with fresh sour cream and chives.
We also tried the loaded wedge salad Crudo , and their loaded potato chips with caramelized onions and bacon – absolutely decadent. The cocktails were on point too.. Everything was well-executed with thoughtful presentation. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Peoria area!

We ate at Sparrow at the Trailhead on Happy Valley a few nights ago on a Tuesday. It had only been open a couple of weeks. Surprisingly busy but we didn’t have to wait. We chose outside on the patio, but could have been seated inside. The atmosphere was slightly upscale, and the decor was modern. The vibe was Scottsdale ish, and the mix was young professionals and retired.
The food was excellent. My wife got the short rib ragú pappardelle. Our server said it was her favorite on the menu and it did not disappoint. I had the seafood special which that night was seared Mahi tuna. Also, an excellent choice. The menu is well thought out. Great bar as well. Plenty of trained staff. A little expensive, but I wouldn’t go there if you’re not willing to pay for good food and atmosphere.
Glad to have another upscale restaurant in the upper west side.

A new upscale restaurant this side of town needs to keep adding. Fairly new so I believe they are still working things through. Once inside the restaurant it is a fantastic atmosphere with inside and outside seating. The food is fairly good with a multitude of pricing options for dishes. The more expensive options like the steak are good but a bit over priced.
It should be known that the seafood options are very small and individually brought out. Our waitress did not know this so there were some awkward moments when bringing the food out. It’s quite expensive for the seafood options so not knowing how the dishes are presented was problem.
Our server seemed to have more knowledge about the other restaurants going up in the complex than her own. She did not understand what was on the menu or their specials.

It has taken a couple of times of going back to actually get some good service even though it seems they are actually trying to be one of the better restaurant options in the area. It is worth the visit but not in the class of Bourbon/Bones across the street.

Came to celebrate my friends birthday.

The place is beautiful.

I got the filet and it’s delicious. Also got the mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts they were both good.

Also had no idea they are the same owners as squid ink!

Amazing local spot.

My wife and I live nearby but happened upon this place accidentally for her 33rd birthday. Place was poppin’ on a Wednesday night.

Bae seating was cozy, Chris and Mike are clearly top notch professionals in the service industry. This goes for just about everyone we encountered from the host/hostess, food runners, other servers, everyone was spot on.

I used to work at multiple restaurants in Martha’s Vineyard and a Scottsdale private club. This staff competes with the best.

Oh, and the food, unreal. So so good and fresh and smooth and not delayed even with a busy night.

We will return. Thanks guys!!

Great first impression!
We have been waiting for Sparrow to open because we live so close by, and were very excited to give it a try yesterday.
Overall it was a great experience.

The atmosphere is super cool and nice, absolutely loved the vibe. We sat at the bar which is our favorite and it was great. The chairs were more comfortable than most chairs at a bar which was nice. (Just need some purse hanger hooks!)

Service was awesome, we went In the early afternoon so it wasn’t super busy but everyone was super nice, friendly and provided great service.

Drinks were also really good, my husband had one of their fancy cocktails and loved it. And I had a Moscow mule that was also very good.

For food we had the chicken wings as an app which we enjoyed. The sauce had a unique flavor with a little bit of spice and the chicken seemed like good quality. For our lunch we got the prime rib dip and the lobster roll. The prime rib dip was delicious, I would definitely get it again. I would prefer a nice crusty baguette over the pretzel roll but it was still nice. My husband enjoyed the lobster roll but would have preferred it warm. And we both thought the fries were fresh and crispy.

We had a great experience at Sparrow and will definitely be back. It would be cool to see a bit more extensive menu eventually.(or maybe some lighter healthy-ish options)

Thanks Sparrow for a great experience

We chose to go here for our New Year’s Eve dinner this year. The first time we went we loved what we had but saw so much more on the menu we wanted to try. This time around we started with the Blue Crab Dip. He went for the Prime Rib Dip and I had the Short Ribs. He had my leftovers and thinks he’ll get that next time, and there is still more on the menu we want to try! Definitely give this place a shot.
