The food is forgettable and oddly sad for a place that wants to feel upscale. Nothing stood out, nothing felt intentional, and for the prices, it’s a letdown. The music is so loud you can’t have a normal conversation, and the indoor seating is uncomfortable enough that you’re constantly aware of it instead of enjoying your meal.
The bigger issue is the identity crisis. It’s not really a restaurant, not a club, and not quite sure what it wants to be. It feels like a bar pretending to be something more.
To make it more confusing, the menu online doesn’t match the menu in the restaurant. When you point it out, they’ll try to explain it as being from their Fort Lauderdale location; however, it clearly says St. Pete. Oh, and there doesn’t seem to be any dress code or standard at all. You’ll see people in shorts, sweatpants, and very casual wear, which makes the whole “upscale” positioning even more confusing.
If you’re stopping in for a drink at the bar, l guess it’s fine. If you’re coming for food or a proper dining experience, I’d skip it.
She made excellent recommendations, kept everything flowing smoothly, and truly made us feel celebrated the entire night. The food and drinks were fantastic, the rooftop vibe was unbeatable, and Thalia helped turn a fun night into an unforgettable one.
If you’re coming to Sparrow St Pete especially for a celebration, ask for Thalia G. She is an absolute standout and delivers top-tier service. We will 100% be back! ✨
We originally planned to just grab drinks, but our server Thalia completely changed that. She was great at reading the table, kept the drinks coming and did an awesome job recommending a few dishes that ended up being exactly what we wanted. Everything she suggested was solid and her energy made the night so fun for us. Because of her we stayed much longer than we expected.
Great service, great atmosphere and a staff that clearly knows how to take care of guests. We’ll definitely be back!
The only thing that felt off was the music. It was extremely loud and didn’t match the vibe of the place. This doesn’t feel like a spot where people come to dance, but rather to have dinner, enjoy drinks, and talk. That part was hard to do over the noise.
Overall, though, the food, drinks, and sunset view really impressed me, and I’d definitely come back.
Our reservation was at 7, we got there at about 645. Stood at the sign that said please wait to be seated for quite some time, ended up having to walk to where the hostess was standing (very odd set up) we were seated outside at a dark table, I ended up lighting the candles myself, the host said he would be back with a drink menu- he walked back by about 5 minutes later, I stopped him and asked if he had the drink menu, he said no but then did come back with it and an actual light for the table. We then sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for the server, she finally came ( with an attitude) took half the drink orders left came back, took the other half. Very odd. I asked if they had Coke Zero, she said she wasn’t sure but would find out. Through the course of dinner I asked 3 times if there was Coke Zero and never got an answer. We ordered food finally and it all came out randomly over the span of 20 minutes. The food was okay at best, the only redeeming item was the Brussels sprouts. The truffle fries were awful, you could only taste oregano, mac and cheese was lacking salt, flavor, and the cheese had separated, crispy rice with tuna was okay at best, the tuna was puréed and really just had an avocado taste. At the end when I went to pay I paid cash, to which the waitress said “just a reminder we are a cashless establishment” like I had been told before? No I wasn’t notified of that.
I wish the service and food were better because the vibe was nice but unfortunately I will not be back.
