If you’re a foodie, this is an absolute must-visit. Every bite was a delight. We devoured the KFC bao buns (I honestly could have eaten ten!), crispy onion rings, a hearty steak bowl, and perfectly cooked chicken piccata. Everything was amazing.
For dessert, the beignets with blueberry dipping sauce and the panna cotta were the perfect finale. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere is cozy, and with the weather still nice, it’s perfect for dining on the patio. Can’t wait to come back!

Shocked there wasn’t a line. Absolutely incredible. The atmosphere is amazing, waiter was so attentive and knowledgable. I cant even begin to explain how amazing the food was. Everything we had was flavored and cooked perfectly. The price was beyond fair. Absolutely loved how they had listed what ingredients were forced locally. Sad I didn’t get to try dessert because they all looked incredible. Will be making the two hour trip back for sure.

After a day with crowds- both human and animals) at the Goshen Fair, it was a delightful early evening to dine at Sparrow on our way home! The cocktails which were named for places around the world were exceptional! The entrees were meticulously plated and delicious as were the desserts. Phil provided friendly, attentive and courteous service in a lovely brick historic building that welcomed Adam Sandler and Winona Rider filming ‘Mr Deeds Goes to Washington’. Looking forward to a future visit!

Food quality / price (value) rating 8.5. The atmosphere is a beautifully restored Victorian storefront with exposed brick and plenty of very high quality woodwork throughout the dining area. A “shotgun” style, open dining room with several very large windows brings light and a sense of openness to the space. The owners, John & Stephanie at Sparrow, informed us that this is where Deed’s Pizza – Adam Sandler’s silly RomCom was filmed. The restrooms were newly remodeled, and fresh and clean, and adorned with more nice artwork. High quality artwork, some of which is for sale, is displayed on the walls The menu is limited, and changes frequently. I had the Bucatini Bolognese, a pork and beef tomato sauce over Bucatini pasta (thin tube-like pasta) that was cooked perfectly and served hot. There was no bread or salad served. The wife had the Mushroom Pot Stickers appetizer which was very unusual, and presented beautifully. We had a couple drinks and an incredible Panna Cotta with lemon brittle and an incredible rhubarb / strawberry compote. The smooth texture and density of the custard was unmatched with any I’ve ever eaten. We had a great conversation with the owner, John, a veteran restauranteur, and our server Stephanie was fantastic! They have a nice, large outdoor seating area. The restaurant is located on New Milford’s Bank Street Theater District, and is a walk down memory lane bringing one back in time to the Victorian era that was once Connecticut.

We visited Sparrow for dinner while visiting friends in Connecticut, and it was a really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a calm interior and good lighting that set the right mood for the evening.
The food menu offers a nice mix of traditional Asian-inspired and American dishes. We started with the onion rings and mushroom potstickers, both of which were delicious. For mains, we had the lomo saltado, which was good, and a fried rice dish whose name I can’t quite remember. The cocktails were also well crafted and complemented the meal nicely.
The prices match the quality you’re getting, making it worth a visit. We’d definitely come back when we’re in the area again.

Amazing restaurant! Everything was exceptional, from every dish and drink to the incredible service and atmosphere. We had the bao buns and baked brie as appetizers and the shrimp curry as an entre. The shrimp curry was SO good! For desert we had a homemade brown sugar pop tart, also amazing. Our waitress was so lovely and the drinks were amazing. Highly recommend this awesome spot!

This restaurant and it’s people are a hidden gem. The food is carefully prepared, well seasoned, fairly priced. A satisfying bite.
The staff is gracious and attentive. The atmosphere is beautifully designed. Creative. Love the vibe. We even spoke with the owner John, who floats around to greet his regulars. A must visit if you appreciate finer food.

Food and service both wonderful. Prices are reasonable. Space is bright and relaxing during a daytime meal and can be romantic and cozy during an evening there. Definitely worth a try.
The photo is of the mushroom potstickers… my favorite thing on the menu.

When we heard there was a restaurant that just opened in New Milford serving a mix of dishes from all over the world, we decided to make a visit! This was our first dining visit to downtown New Milford, and Sparrow definitely set the bar high for the foodie scene here. The restaurant itself was charming, and the food was all good. Loved the Korean fried chicken and chilaquiles! If we had one critique, the bao bun had just a couple of stale spots, but was otherwise good. Our server, Derek, was very attentive, and everything came to the table in a timely manner. This is a great spot for us to keep in mind for future visits to New Milford!

I’m usually very critical of restaurants in the downtown area. Sparrow knocked it out of the park. The staff was polite, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Most importantly the food was absolutely amazing. I had the tomato bisque, smash burger, and carrot cake and would definitely come back for that same lineup. Great first experience!
