First time coming here and I tried their tuna sandwich, the “matty boy” is absolutely delicious!! I haven’t had tuna in years and I was so happy I got it because I really enjoyed my sandwich, it was so fresh and flavorful! It was a massive sandwich that is definitely big enough for two people. I also got the macaroni salad which was excellent with the tuna. I’m looking forward to coming back here and enjoying my tuna again! I recommend this deli for sure.

Placed an order online for catering. Special instructions mentions no hot longs. They put them on! Had ppl complain, no extra condiments were given. We had to run to buy oil and vinegar. Just a box of sandwiches. Also, I called and left a message because no one picked up the phone Saturday, and asked for the subs to be cut in 1/4’s and not 3rd’s. Didn’t get that message either.

This belly is a happy belly! I’ve been excited to try Sparos since they announced their opening and I was not disappointed! My lovely (but particular) wife had the Mama Ree and she loved it! The eggplant was cut to just the right thickness. I tried the Kogger, and it was delicious! The roast beef was out of sight and the giardiniera was perfect. I will be returning again and again. Also the decor is very warm and inviting. Great addition to Upper Montclair. 5 forks!

Clean atmosphere, great oldies music, friendly and welcoming staff. sandwiches are DELICIOUS and that seeded semolina is perfect. soup is homemade and definitely tasted as such, packed with lots of flavor! i recommend a 6 inch sandwich + one of their simple but delightful &flavorful salads.

I visited Sparo’s for the first time back in March. After getting some help from the staff, I went with the Mama Cici and the Kiki Girl. I forget which was which, but both were good. I liked the duke’s Mayo on them but must admit the sandwiches were a little dry. One had fried long hots on it, which I’d never seen before. Just wish there were more. My expectations were very high coming in based on recommendations. Because of that i was slightly disappointed, but if I were nearby I’d return again without hesitation. Overall tasty sandwiches and I can see why it’s a neighborhood favorite.

Great sandwich place for catering, from the easy online ordering and being able to pick individual sandwiches, to the nice presentation which describes what each one is, and the mini bottles of oil and vinegar on the side. These little things will keep customers coming back!
