We’ve had our church leadership Christmas party here 3 different years and it’s always been great! The food is very reasonably priced, and if you come earlier in the evening you’ll benefit from happy hour pricing on a lot. The staff was great even when their earlier shift failed to tell them we were coming in. They handled themselves very well. There are lots of activities to enjoy too! We always get in at least one round of laser tag.

Overall was a good experience. The only three downfalls was 1. The lady at the front desk was rude. 2. When going to change my daughter’s diaper we had to go clear across the building and the only place that had a changing table was in the accessible stall and it was in use. For a family friendly place I’d expect at least one other changing table and it not to be in a stall. 3. Our balls kept getting stuck on lane 15. We were in the elite room which was nice for my sensory friendly daughter. We had the chicken tenders and tater tots for an app and they were delicious.

So we didn’t eat here when visiting just came to play the games. Good amount for the size of the place the only thing the prices for the game seem high. Otherwise we had a good time playing the games.

Bowling here was so much fun! And, they also have a pretty decent arcade! I really enjoyed the variety of games and the lanes seem to be pretty well-maintained. There are ramps for children to use to build up their skill of lining up the balls. They’re located at the ends of the ball-return lift. The staff is always available to help if you need anything. And, I love all of the game options you can choose on the screen when you bowl. We had just eaten lunch before coming here so we didn’t experience the restaurant aspect but definitely have heard good things! I also thought the prices for everything was super fair. Not inflated like most other bowling joints.

Was a little displeased when we rented the birthday party elite suite. Great food. Lanes were kid friendly but they crammed to many families into the elite suite was pretty loud not private like we had assumed. The floors were not good for slide. The rental shoes were very overworn. Food tasted great and was pretty quick. We didnt try the arcade or any of those games.

Well food we had was mediocre at best. We were there with a large party the food was served buffet style. There was no flavor at all. Except for the mini churros, now those were tasty!! However they gave us 1 pan & they were gone instantly, they didn’t refill these. The service was outstanding meaning they cleared our plates quickly. The cocktails were a little embarrassing as there was barely any alcohol in them.

Went to do some bowling, they said they dont take cash?! What kind of business doesnt take CASH!?!? I said forget it and left. 0/10 recommend. Uncle Bucks Fish Bowl gladly accepted cash. Not to mention the lanes are better, the atmosphere is better, all around better experience. I will NEVER go back to spare time lanes.

Spare Time in Des Moines is hands down one of the best spots for a fun night out! The atmosphere is clean, modern, and super welcoming. The bowling lanes are well-maintained, and everything runs smoothly. The staff is friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.
