From my friend’s experience, the energy at this location is… different. The Ben Hur spot is far more inviting—staff actually engage with everyone respectfully, and the crowd brings good, open vibes. This place, however, attracts a certain type of audience, and even the entertainment carries an uneasy, old-South undertone that’s hard to miss. Iykyk.

I had an extremely unpleasant encounter at this establishment. The ambiance exuded an unwelcoming vibe throughout. Surprisingly, the staff decided to cease serving our entire group, claiming that we were being “obnoxious.” When we inquired about the reasoning behind this policy, Kathleen mentioned our lack of tipping as a contributing factor. While I wasn’t aware that not tipping warranted being cut off, it’s important to note that we fully intended to leave a tip once we closed our tab like we ALWAYS do.

Went here with my friends like we normally do. The server (Kathleen) had a horrible attitude and was rude not only to us but to the girl that was working with her. I was ordering drinks and she asked me for my last name I told her “Nguyen” and she was like “Why is there so many of y’all?” What is that suppose to mean? She then decided she didn’t want to serve us anymore because there was a “policy” and when we asked her what the policy was she said she didn’t know. How are you the bartender and don’t know the policy? We’ve been there when people were intoxicated and falling over trying to fight but were still being served. Mind you, the only difference between us and them is that they were white and actually being obnoxious.

Quite honestly I use to like going here until my last experience. Would not serve my party because the server felt overwhelmed despite us being nothing but complimentary to her. The person in our party who was intoxicated left of her own volition, but the whole party was generalized as being drunk despite showing no symptoms of it at all. Bartender was rude with a poor explanation of the “policy” despite it never being an issue in the past when there has been profanity and fights and those parties were still served afterwards.
