Spanky’s was easily a 10/10 for me. I have to say the service was phenomenal!! Every staff we encountered was so friendly and cortious which definitely made the experience quite remarkable.

My family tried various things. I only took pictures of two of the plates but everything was so tasty, well seasoned and overall just perfect.

The wait time was not long, beautiful views if you seat outside. Indoors is comfortable and cozy 🙂 loved the complimentary crackers and dip! It is on the pricier side so I would say to keep that in mind.

The steak and lobster was 53.99 I believe. Which was not bad at all but for people that want to take a budget into consideration a burger was 18.99 and a fish plate was 28.99. Sodas a little over 3 dollars and so on. We didn’t have a budget for this visit but I know it’s worth considering when traveling.

I truly hope to visit again sometime in the future 🙂

As first time visitors to Cape Cod, we were looking for some lobstah. After much searching and debate, we settled on Spanky’s and it did not disappoint. The clam chowder was excellent… if you want to kick it up a notch try the seafood stew. Large chunks of tasty seafood swimming in a butter cream broth. Perfection in a bowl or cup. We tried several different lobster dishes and left with very full bellies and happy taste buds. The lobster roll is more realistically an open faced lobster sandwich with enough meat to make any afficiando satisfied. Everything was cooked to perfection. Spanky’s has a varied drink menu and everyone was able to select the beer of their choice, including some local brews. Definitely give Spanky’s your patronage if you are considering a seafood spot!

My husband and I visited Hyannis for the first time and we come across this restaurant by the harbor. Nicely set up tables outside with umbrellas and comfortable indoor sitting as well with the beautiful view was definitely a plus! Very lively.

Stopped here for lunch and we started with amazing Oysters + Littlenecks clam, it was so clean and fresh, Delicious ! Great selection of fresh seafood – we had
* Steamers – is was so sweet and HUGE served with steamer broth to remove any sand and with melted butter to enjoy it.
* Caesar lobster salad – was refreshing and tasty with generous chunks of lobster, sweet and delicious.
* Fried Whole Belly Clams – cook to perfection – crunchy golden brown and gorgeous on the outside with a pleasant briny bite serve with homemade tartar sauce.
* Side of blanched green beans + corn on the cob.

The portions were generous and the quality of the food was outstanding. Our server by (Danni) was incredibly friendly, and the service was both efficient and welcoming. Thank you for having us and giving us an amazing experience. This place is definitely worth a visit, will be back for sure ❤️.

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch after a kind lady we met while exploring the area recommended it. We decided to give it a try, and we’re so glad we did!

We ordered the lobster roll and teriyaki salmon, both of which were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection.

The portions were generous, especially considering the price, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Our server was incredibly friendly, and the service was both efficient and welcoming.

This place is definitely worth a visit!

I can definitely say it was delicious, worth the money, and totally satisfying! The restaurant was always packed with people. During the three months I was working in Hyannis, I often walked past the restaurant while exploring the shopping district or strolling along the beach, but I never had a chance to stop by.

Every time I passed, it looked lively and inviting, with a steady stream of customers coming and going. I always told myself I would try it “next time,” but somehow it never happened. Finally, right before leaving town, my friends and I decided it was time to give it a try — and I’m so glad we did!

Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the service was impressively quick, and we were seated without a long wait. The staff was friendly and welcoming, creating a casual, relaxed atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable.

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including Chilled Shrimp Cocktail, Fried Shrimp with French Fries, Oysters on the Half Shell, and Shrimp Scampi over Linguini. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh, which is exactly what you hope for when dining near the coast.

Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience — delicious food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. This turned out to be the last restaurant I visited before leaving Hyannis, and it truly left a wonderful and lasting impression. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Don’t miss it!

We visited this place once during our family vacation last year and really liked it. This time, however, the experience was noticeably worse — possibly due to the overwhelming summer crowd.

Spanky’s has a great waterfront location near the harbor, with lively outdoor seating and a fun, casual atmosphere. But the food didn’t live up to the setting. The famous (and pricey) crab roll was cold and flavorless — really disappointing for their signature dish. As an appetizer, we ordered fried calamari, and the server accidentally spilled half on the way to the table. I had to ask for a replacement — surprising that they didn’t offer it proactively.

Overall, I know this place can do better, which is why I’m giving it three stars. Great location, but the service and food quality need more consistency. There are other seafood spots in the area that seem to care more.

Friend told me they have the best lobster salad he ever had. Approved, they had the best lobster salad I have ever had also.

And staff is very friendly, helpful and nice!

Highly recommend this place! Best from where I went to in Haynes.

Apple pay had a problem when I went there, make sure you bring a cash or physical card

My wife has been coming to this place since she was a kid and was excited to take me. I was excited to go! We both got clam chowder, she got a grilled chicken dish, and I got fried whole clams. The service was excellent and the space was charming but I wasn’t in love with the food. The chowder was ok but a little too underseasoned and lacking in potatoes and other veg. My wife loves it so there is that but for me I’ve had better clam chowder at other places. The clam dish was also just ok. It was a little cold and not crispy—you could tell that both clams and fries had been cooked a long time ago and kept under a heating lamp or something like that for a long time. Again it wasn’t awful but wasn’t great.

As one of the main tourist restaurants around it will keep getting visitors and doing what it is doing.

Three adults took a long driving tour of New England to see the major historic sites, take pictures and eat lots of seafood. One stop was Hyannis to look around by the waterfront. There we found Spanky’s . Nicely set up tables outside with umbrellas. Very lively.
We each had the lobster room and I believe it was the best we have ever had. What a great experience.

Quite possibly the best hot lobster roll I have ever had! Huge amount of lobster meat (both claw and non claw) piled high, perfect amount of butter with more on the side, and served with fries and a little salad. Was enough for two to share. We visited other restaurants in CT and MA and tried lobster at each and this place won hands down. Service was great as well. Would definitely return. It was pricey but worth it considering you pay $10 less at most places but get rubbery flavorless lobster.
