Best dining experience I’ve had in New Smyrna Beach.

Every once in a while, you find a place that is truly magical – an experience that takes you back to exotic vacations in Spain, a world where if every dish isn’t the best you ever had, then it’s not worth having at all. Spanish River Grill is such a place.

So glad you are back! Love the tapas style as it lets us try new things every time we visit. I particularly liked the vegetable based choices. The whipped feta and mushrooms are a wonderful pairing choice suggested by our knowledgeable server. The house made sangria was delicious and my husband enjoyed the Spanish wine choices. Henry and Michelle have been helping us enjoy favorites for years. While we miss our favorite restaurant of theirs Txacos, they never miss on their new adventures together with Creative food, style and dining with a welcoming atmosphere. See you again soon!!

A wonderful restaurant with great food and service and the atmosphere is good. The menu is mainly tapas which are great and allows you to try more food than you would want to eat as a full meal. The price was pretty good for how good the food was about 10-20 per tapas.

Absolutely delighted that Henry and Michelle brought back SRG. Henry’s cooking is top notch and the pair have put together an extensive wine list that has something for everyone. I think we ordered 11 or 12 tapas and between 2 couples we were all stuffed and probably should’ve stopped at 9/10 but everything was so good. The house sangria was delicious so we just ordered a second bottle instead of trying something else and I feel like that will be our go-to when we go back now. Reservations recommended, as they fill up quickly on the weekends. I’m disappointed we waited so long to check out the new spot, but I’m stoked that it’s as good as we expected and will in our regular rotation; definitely worth the drive from Ormond.

From our call for reservations to a goodbye at the door we felt nothing but warmth and appreciation paired with perfect food, wine and ambiance. Rachel and Michelle were absolutely kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. We will be coming back to enjoy the experience the Spanish River Grille offers to every person that comes through their door.

I’m going to be completely honest. Everything that comes out of this kitchen and into your mouth is a delectable and well thought out explosion of flavor and freshness. The FOH staff is attentive, smiling, and there to make any experience special. The ambience and artistic feeling of the restaurant adds another element of enjoyment. I went for the Sushi Pop up, Shiki Westside for my birthday celebration and was blown away. I give the experience 10/10 and recommend anyone who loves chefs that give a damn about every piece of flavor on the plate, this is for you. Cheers!

Tapas were good but overpriced. Service was ok but seating on the patio was a HORRIBLE experience. Right next to the Dixie highway with road noise excessive and not conducive to a good dining experience. Would not go back again if we had to sit outside. They need to consider some type of noise barrier to make the patio bearable. Could not provide separate checks which was inconvenient for both us and the other couple we were dining with. Server provided the wrong tapas to my wife and then tried to excuse it by saying that the tapas were served family style. When you order an item you expect it to be served to you directly and not left for you to decide if it is the right dish. A simple admission that a mistake was made would have been sufficient rather than trying to rationalize the mistake. Quite disappointed from what we remember when we dined with them at the previous location.

Fine dining, mainly Tapas and a few entrees. Food was excellent, every dish was brought out steamy hot. The country bread is a must to die for. Great service, server always has a napkin holding the dish without touching it with their bare hands or any silverware too. They are very attentive and service with a smile. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys fine dining !!!
