This is a very small but well decorated little place on Northern Blvd. in Bayside. We came in for their lunch special and were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and drinks. Their margaritas , as expected, were quite good as was their guac and chips appetizer. Their lunch specials start with house salad (delicious dressing) or soup (chicken today, very hearty & good!) We enjoyed the grilled salmon (with morita sauce, mashed potatoes and avocado) and tilapia offerings (a nice sauce on top, see photos). Good portions and cooked to our liking. We ended with churros (with Nutella sauce!) and flan, both tasty and sweet. Service was quick and friendly, so we will definitely return to our new neighborhood Mexican place!

I enjoy restaurant hopping once in a while. I always passed by Spanglish, but never stopped in. Today I did. I went inside nice and mysterious, Dawn of the Dead. The menu is really colorful, beautiful photo on the front. There was one thing I didn’t do right off the back. I wonder if you know what that is? I did check the bathroom to see if it was clean. Why do I do that? Say it with me. “A clean bathrooms means a clean kitchen” If the bathroom isn’t clean we don’t eat from there.. If you read my reviews it’s a thing for me. We sat down and ordered they had a 20.00 3 course meal. It was 3 of us and we all got it. Are you ready for the pictures? Here we go. So the reason for the 2 is I ordered chicken wings from there happy hour menu it was suppose to be 6 pieces and the plate had 4 it was very breaded and stuck together. Needless to say I sent that back. I switched sides with my sister gave her my mashed potatoes and took her Yellow rice. Her Yellow rice was cold. I asked for hot rice and the cook microwaved the rice. Ok. Not a fan. After that we went next door to Bourbon Street and had a ball follow me to the next review. 🙂

We had an amazing experience here at Spanglish NYC. We came in for lunch recently and tried out the ceviche de chicharron, tacos, traditional margarita, passion fruit margarita, and a few other items. Everything was phenomenal! The presentation was amazing and the staff was so nice they even allowed me to snap extra photos of entrees as they came out for my food photography portfolio.
The prices were great in relation to the quality and quantity of the food & on top of that they have TONS of happy hour and special options throughout the week.
Will definitely be back here soon the next time I’m in town! Highly recommend Spanglish!!

big serving sizes and apps were really good. ceviche mixto was so yummy, great balance of sour! the tortilla salad was yummy but def could go without. just a well made salad. mains were definitely on the heavier side but good eats regardless. birria was pretty gamey compared to other birria.

The interior of the restaurant truly sets the scene for a delightful girls’ night out. The décor is stylish yet comfortable. The food and service were good. Each dish was well-prepared and flavorful, meeting our expectations and adding to the overall enjoyment of the night.
However, our experience with the pitcher of beer was less than satisfactory. It tasted flat, which was disappointing. We decided to switch to bottled beer, which was much better. It’s worth noting that while the food was excellent, the pitcher beer could use some improvement.
For anyone planning a night out with friends, try this restaurant. Just be mindful of the beer selection, and you’re sure to have an excellent time.

The food here rocked. I came on a Tuesday, and was able to get take part in both the taco and guacamole deal. Flavorful, fresh, and fast. Highly recommend for a cute date or meal on your own!
