I had the Classic American meal deal.The mud slide and fries were excellent. The burger would have been really good if it wasn’t for the pickles and sauce. The pickles must have either been bread and butter or some odd kosher, but we’re not normal dill. The sauce had and odd sweet taste too it. The establishment as a whole was clean and well maintained. I would go back, but I would get a different burger.

Every time we deal with Spangles, whether its take out or dining in, the experience gets worse each time. The atmosphere and the cool decor is gone due to the fire. Then they raised food prices while raising worker wages. Next there signature fires are always overcooked. After that, the portions got a bit smaller and its less fresh. Customer service is always decent. I can say this, other local restaurants offer more fresh food at lower prices and you should avoid this place. Spangles was cheaper and fresher when I was kid but as an adult, there nothing but.

Drove back to Kansas from San Antonio and had to stop. Workers were so friendly and happy to handle any request. Perfect example of how customer service is suppose to be that is sorely lacking at most places in San Antonio.

They think it’s healthy to dump a smoothie out over a trash can and then whip it off with a dirty wash cloth. And then tell you that if you don’t want it then you won’t get a new one and when you tell them how gross it is they roll their eyes at you and shut the drive thru window

I hadn’t eaten here in 18 years. Where I live we don’t have a Spangles and I haven’t seen one in almost 18 years. So when I saw this one I literally cut over immediately and pulled in. It was like, 9:30- 10 in the morning so they were serving breakfast, I asked the guy if it was too early for a hamburger he said it’ll take a little bit longer but , no, order what you want. I got a Mushroom Swiss burger, french fries, and a Pepsi. I didn’t think it took any longer then what it would have in the afternoon. Everything was fresh. Fry’s they come in a little cup which that was pretty cool. It was every bit of as good as what I remember. I’m so glad I stopped in here every time I see a Spangles I’m going to have to stop because they are just that good. Best fast food French fries, hands down by far.
