The main attraction of this restaurants is the beautiful and dynamic seaside view, with tables just a few yards from the harbor. Yet the service and food was just as good. We asked for and promptly received a carafe of water with our meal. We ordered the daily special of mussels (which came in a light, fragrant broth) and french fries. The chef gave us a generous portion of both. We would gladly eat here again and our experience was an excellent value.

We had a wonderful lunch experience whilst visiting Villefranche last week. The food was fresh, flavoursome and delivered promptly. Very friendly wait staff though it was incredibly hot that day so we sweated through our lunch! Some fans or cooling inside would have been great but otherwise beautiful food and scenery. I recommend the pasta with fruits de mer. Very very generous seafood serving with lots of garlic and parsley!

We had lunch at Spalato yesterday and were pleasantly surprised, despite having seen some mixed reviews beforehand. The Moules-Frites were excellent, and the grilled Sea Bass was perfectly cooked. Our waiter, Rida, was outstanding, warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome.
